Actually Bayonetta was already planned and made because they thought that she would score really high on the ballot, but I don't think she even made top 10. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo passes on "fake" info to some of the subcontractors to make them loose credibility and sniff them more easily.

I'd like Isaac's design to be a combination of young/old, maybe aged up to about 17/18, with the trench coat and redesigned armor, but no beard. I'd like 8 alts based on these.
I agree, let Sakurai give him the pit treatment and have that become his design in a gs1+2 remake to introduce a new generation to Golden sun.
Yeah, well, Young Ike and Old Ike are 2 years apart. Young Isaac is at JRPG Protagonist age, while Old Isaac is old enough to have a son at JRPG Protagonist age. One of these things is not like the other.
Sounds good. Though they might still change those things a lot for balance reasons, you never knew with RPG characters (looking at you, Ike and Robin).
Geno isn't comparable to Banjo at all. Putting aside the fact that Banjo is more well-known than Geno within the gaming community, Geno was never at any point owned by Nintendo whereas Banjo was (the bottom of the back cover of Diddy Kong Racing pretty much proves it) which makes Banjo himself more of a weird and really unusual case within the context of Smash compared to someone like Bayonetta and Geno, characters who were always third-party from the start. Importantly, we know that Microsoft would be willing to have Banjo in Smash thanks to Phil Spencer's tweets whereas there is nothing suggesting Square Enix would even be interested in the idea of Geno being playable in Smash. Cloud isn't comparable to Steve either since he specifically got in due to fan demand, whereas there is nothing suggesting one way or another that Steve is a highly requested character for Smash (a lot of the arguments used to support the idea that Steve would be popular with the "silent majority" was also the same argument used against K. Rool and we all know how those arguments ended up).
My intent wasn't to directly compare Geno to Cloud. It's just we've seen comparing third parties based on their bond with Nintendo doesn't always end in one's favor.
I think it gives a preview of the voting results before you vote (based on the size of the bar) and from what I saw Phoenix Wright was ahead by a lot...we have a full day though so we'll see what happens
I have it on in the background just in case. Goes for another ~20 minutes, and would be bizarre to not save something interesting for the end of their show, even if it's highly unlikely to be Smash related.

That's all he needs to be more deserving. Unlike Geno Banjo was actually a Nintendo all Star and someone who would have been in long before now before the buyout. There is no third party more deserving a slot than him because he is actually first party despite his legal status as a third party.
Yeah I was trying to keep things a little flexible (refer to "low/below average defense"). Also I did not really touch upon moveset, the range on attacks, or any other special abilities (like Lucario's aura or the Little Mac power meter). Personally, I am not that good at predicting a characters moveset. I came up with 3 different movesets for Ridley (prior to his reveal) and the only move I got right was his fireball attack. I think that looking at a character's statistics (attack power, defense, speed, ect.) tends to be much easier and more accurate (and just as fun).
