We try. Haha! Though, it would be poetic justice if we get Isaac or a Golden Sun game or both announced by the time we reach 1K. That would be awesome!Wow almost 1k pages at last, you guys are definitely making it before this month ends !
I guess we have to force our luck then.Though, it would be poetic justice if we get Isaac or a Golden Sun game or both announced by the time we reach 1K
But she uses the opposite element...Sheba as Toph is literal perfection

That's the point. It's a parody of the scene from Avatar: The Last Airbender where Katara pretended to be an earthbender by Aang using the air shaft to make the boulder float and at first the guards thought that Momo the lemur did it.But she uses the opposite element...
I feel like it would mix the best with Fire Emblem, since like many FE characters, GS characters use both weapons and magic-type powers. If Golden Sun, for whatever reason, had a cross-over with another JRPG series, which series do you think would be the most interesting for it to cross-over with?
I'd say Shinig Force, for the glory of Camelot =)If Golden Sun, for whatever reason, had a cross-over with another JRPG series, which series do you think would be the most interesting for it to cross-over with?
Honestly I feel Zelda would work a lot better to cross over with Fire Emblem, because the characters are more developed in Zelda and they fit the standard classes and weapon and magic types of Fire Emblem best.I feel like it would mix the best with Fire Emblem, since like many FE characters, GS characters use both weapons and magic-type powers.
I'll say Ni No Kuni...If Golden Sun, for whatever reason, had a cross-over with another JRPG series, which series do you think would be the most interesting for it to cross-over with?
At the same time, considerSakurai himself think that AT are already part of the "roster"
Please elaborate, I'm very confused. It seems like you're saying that you don't expect Isaac because Nintendo is bad with marketing and satisfying their fans? While that can be true in the end that argument relies on us knowing how Sakurai and the Big N thinks. A quick skim of the previous 995 pages would prove that we're pretty terrible at that.Talking about a new game everythink is possible, but talking about second wave of dlc for Ultimate, i won't bet seeing Isaac. That would make me happy, clearly, but i see hoping more after Rathalos tweet and terrible direction of marketing just a self damaging... While Golden Sun 4 is still likely, mostly for reaction of fans and NoA concern.
At the same time, consider
These are characters who could already "join the battle" in some form, and in Japan, everyone gets that tagline, regardless of how they were featured in the previous game.
The marketing regarding Ultimate was bad, I mean: showing the moon before Skull Kid, Knuckles before Shadow, and Isaac at the last direct (one of the most wanted and speculated pg) was really contestabile IMHO. I was too upset to hope again, and now Isaac being AT, he is strong enough as a reality to stop speculating. Please elaborate, I'm very confused. On one hand, "Assist trophies figure into All-Star Mode" was meant to say "the all-star battle" instead. That's not really a marketing issue, more of a reveal pacing deal. Either way, nobody on the Nintendo side sees an assist trophy as "part of the roster". Heck, even when ATs were introduced in Brawl Sakurai called them "guests". Sakurai's made a pretty clear distinction what he considers a fighter and what he considers a guest. The referee is involved in Boxing or Wrestling in high capacity, but they are not "on the roster" by any stretch. This is similar.
you could switch the characters and it'd still make sense. There was a problem fetching the tweetBasically this. Lmao
I'd love for the Takahashi bros. to find a way to continue the Golden Sun series. Maybe it could be something like JoJo, where the descendants/relatives of Isaac continually face new evils (or the same evil again, twice) while taking place in the same world with the same conventions. Clearly, we already have the Isaac saga (TBS, TLA, sort of DD) and the Matthew saga (DD and a potential GS4), so maybe we see the son of Matthew or a descendant of Felix next. Here's a topic question that has been running through my mind every now and then. Since the Takahashi brothers made Golden Sun as a continuous story do you think they have an ending in mind that will complete the Golden Sun story and that's the end of it? It won't be a matter of Golden Sun being dead, just that it's story is completed.
Other rpgs like Fire Emblem and Xenoblade have their longevity by featuring different protagonists each game installment.
Of course it's not impossible for Golden Sun to do something similar for it to be a staple numbered/titled series that gets a release every few years. Could Matthew have a son that looks identical to him and go on to be the protagonist of the next game? Similar to how Zelda uses the same protagonist?
Or could after the end of Isaac and Matthew's story arc the next game be a completely new character to be explored in the world of Golden Sun. Maybe the Takahashi brothers will think of new psynergy concepts and ways for the big bad to cause havoc. Like DQ, new hero who goes to save the world from big bad, Fire Emblem lead an army in a war, or Pokemon becoming champion. Golden Sun could also have it's concept that goes on for each installment.
It's just a matter of whether the Takahashi brothers sees Golden Sun as a series that can continue, or one big story arc that has an ending. Of course I'd like to fast forward to the part where it's already back before wondering how future installments will continue lol.
I think they probably do have an endgame in plan. That's fine with me too, I like a good ending, I'd rather have that than have the story stretched out to the point where it has no meaning. Here's a topic question that has been running through my mind every now and then. Yeah I second this as well. Golden Sun being "finished" rather than "dead" again would be fine by me. I just want a proper resolution to the Sun Saga in GS4, hopefully without another cliffhanger lol.Didn't they state that the first two games were meant to be a prologue of the actual story they had in mind? I think I've read that somewhere. Therefore we wouldn't have to worry about that in the near future anyway.
Also there's no problem if a franchise is finished properly like Mother for instance. So I'd be fine with them either finishing the story arc of GS they have in mind or do it like DQ and use the same concepts with different characters and a different world in each iteration.
I would love a prequel! I want to know who thought it was a good idea to seal up Alchemy. It also makes me wonder if before, the world was round, but after sealing up Alchemy, it separated Weyard from the world into its own “flat world”. In Dark Dawn, more pieces of Weyard (or the world) started to show up. It’s all theory, but it’s one that’s very fascinating to me.Yeah I second this as well. The difference between Golden Sun & Mother is that with Golden Sun, there's still room for a prequel before the events of the GBA games and maybe even a midquel between TLA & DD? That was what I originally wanted GS3 to be since there were still some plot points to be explored post-TLA.
Honestly, any more information on Weyard in general would be nice. It's such a mysterious place that new places and people all add to.I would love a prequel! I second this. I figured the way to go is pretty much a remake of GS1 & 2 at this point. Most people aren't even aware of DD's existence outside of the core, Golden Sun fanbase.Honestly I'll take anything at this point.
