Issac is the hero from the RPG series called "Golden Sun". The game centers around the main character named Isaac and his battles against some loser who wastes time making throwaway accounts to make passive agressive **** posts.
I'll be 29. By then i'll probably have finished the whole trilogy so many times I can recite the script blindfolded. Hell, that's the kind of point folks over at DK vine got too...lol. Anyways I figure if a few years pass and we don't get anything I must make my own fangame. Because...why not you know? lol

This is from a tweet Sakurai made on August 29th, 2013. One year, to the day, later we had Shulk announced for Smash. Sakurai is also on record saying that a new character takes about a year to make from conception to finish.
I still fully believe the Rathalos picture was a Golden Sun reference. Too many coincidences in it. But what if we read the meaning of the picture wrong? Sakurai has a habit of posting teases and hints like this when he is most involved with a character, in the planning and designing stages.
What if the message that tweet was supposed to send wasn't "Isaac is next to be revealed" but "I heard you, I'm working on it"?
So, assuming the timeline still holds, that would mean roughly a year. Assuming less time, because Isaac would be stand alone DLC and not part of a larger game, he might be done by early summer. Just in time for E3. Now then, suppose there was some other announcement at E3 that might make a Golden Sun character much more profitable for Nintendo, much like Corrin was?
Yes, this is a crap ton of conjecture, I won't deny that. But right about now I think we need a little hope, as far fetched as it might be.
I'd rather believe in that than give up hope on Isaac.
I appreciate the sentiment, though most of us do wish other ballot characters could have joined us too. I know especially for Isaac fans we feel nothing but sadness. I hope saying this doesn't feel like rubbing it in your guys' faces. I just... I don't know. I don't have any good words to offer. Just condolences.
I’ll be 38. And that’s too long to wait for a new Golden Sun, or decent Donkey Kong game. But am sort of certain that Ultimate is not even gonna be the last Smash of Sakurai.
I honestly never understood the hate for Incineroar, hell the anime makes him out to be adorable as hell. Still, I choose Decidueye because I prefer him.
Good to see there isn't too much bad blood. I was really hoping Incineroar would be in along with the Grinch leak(Even though I thought it was fake) so everyone could be happy. Almost feels bad to be on the winning side... lol. But still, I hope Sakurai really does do something crazy for you guys
I think it is because a lot of fans of gen 7 were expecting Decidueye. It made the most sense. Especially as he added more to Smash Bros than Incineroar could (nothing bad about Incineroar, but we barely have any Archers in the game yet many brawlers)

Thanks, we do appreciate the sentiment!! I may have said it in the Incineroar thread before, but at first I didn't like him only because he was another Pokemon. However, now that I have seen him in action, I maybe starting to warm up to him! Congratulations in getting your Bro Wrestler, I have no bad blood what so ever and none of us should over a video game. I know we are better than most fanboys and I hope to keep it that way with all of you.
