Now to my argument's credit, there's nothing saying Black Knight can't become an echo fighter himself. We could honestly use a Fire Emblem villain. Flying Man's costume was derived from his unused 3D model in the 3DS version. that leaves K Rool, Chrom, and Lloyd.

I personally am not a big Golden Sun fan. But Isaac would certainly be an awesome, unique fighter. K. Rool is undeniable proof that the ballot mattered.

I am rooting for you guys. You've stuck through so much crap. I want to face you on the battlefield in December. I want you to join us in celebration.

Do you think Sakurai would give Isaac a bit of a redesign rather than going for a straight conversion from his gba appearances? Similar to how he redesigned Pit and Simon?

If so what are some elements you think are most important? I think his scarf and colour scheme is most important. Along with his spiky blonde hair.

Personally I'm hoping he looks like his gba appearances though. It would be a little strange if he was wearing a different outfit.

Personally I took that to mean "as of this moment". People are being way too particular about this, this is Smash Bros we're talking about you know. If it wasn't explicitly stated then it wasn't said.

It just isn't Isaac without the scarf.

The older self has a red scarf that apparently Jenna gave to him.

That's why he passed down the yellow scarf to his kid.

Well he has a lot of unique moveset potential, so even if you don't know much about him I think you'll be pleased with what he can do.

I do think Isaac is a character that people will really see why he was such a great fit for Smash in his reveal trailer.

Eh, what the hey. Put me as a supporter. If only because you guys are so steadfast that it honestly inspires me. Much like K. Rool, I think it's high time you got what is owed to you for you dedication.

Nevermind that I'm also kinda realizing how fun Isaac's moveset could be...only just now, lol. Magic hands plus earth magic as well as swords has a lot of potential.

I just wish I liked the series more. Played the first, remember it as pretty decent, never got to the second...and I seriously could not get into Dark Dawn at all. Maybe I'll hit them up again.

Buuuut...I think I gotta try Castlevania first, lol. Now that Simon's a thing, I feel obligated to familiarize myself.

So, after thinking about it, there is a way to have Isaac, Felix and Matthew in this game. If this was already discussed, my apologies. Just after seeing the Simon and Richter reveal, it made me brainstorm.

Isaac as playable with a Matthew alt costume (like how Alph is an alt for Olimar for example) and Felix as an Echo.

That just makes too much sense to have it like that. My only hope is that their FS are different. Isaac (and Matthew) get Judgement and Felix gets Megiddo.

I have been a lurker for a very very long time. I absolutely love Golden Sun and still await the day for a remaster or GS4.

With Smash Ultimate being the final chance for Isaac I am holding my breath every day to play as my favorite video game character of all time.

I normally don't believe in leaks but that WhisslBlank guy posted again. It's all credible to me besides seeing Tera from FF and Soren (Out of all of the FE cast)

The Neogaf leak looks too good to be true. I very much doubt someone could just literally leak all the newcomers, as the credible leakers mostly only hear of one or two characters and even then they only operate on rumors. This guy would pretty much literally have to sit in the development staff to call all of these characters reliably, as much as I'd want it to be true.

What makes that leak lose some credibility to me is the Galacta Knight echo. Galacta Knight's look is already one of Meta Knight's pallette swap (he even gets a similar mask to Galacta I believe)

I realized I haven't commented my support here, looks like that's something that has to change.

Isaac would be a great choice. The first 2 Golden Sun games are amazing and Isaac has limitless moveset potential. Like King K. Rool Isaac is a character that's been on the back-burner for too long and he needs to make his comeback! With relevancy not an issue I can only hope Sakurai sees the potential in Isaac as much as fans do.

I just don't believe Soren. It's such an odd choice. Plus with the new FE game coming out.
Terra too, I don't think FF would get 2 reps.

All the support here is heartwarming. And I do feel happy for everybody who was blessed with their favorite character so far in Ultimate. Congrats to you guys!

As for that "hint"... I definitely thought the sun was a tad too golden to be a coincidence.

Also I'm pretty sure the Golden Sun created a shockwave that shook the world to its very core when it was born... or is my memory really bad about that? (I know it reshaped a good chunk of Weyard as seen in DD, I'm talking about the shockwave specifically)

However, I'm fairly convinced that every single piece of CGI footage - from Luigi to DeDeDe's prank and demise, and everything that relates to the Rathalos and our two newcomers - is part of a bunch of actual cutscenes created for a spiritual successor to the SSE and crafted with such care so that they could easily be passed a mere reveal trailers. Heck, I'd go as far as to include the Inkling/Ridley trailers in that too - having a bunch of characters straight-up dying could make for a fun story concept, and perhaps the shadows of the fighters seen under the burning Smash logo at the end of the Inkling trailer are actual ghosts?

So if we were to assume that the DK/K. Rool sequence is fully integrated into that, I will forever worship Sakurai if that footage is A) a neat reveal trailer, B) actually a part of the story mode and C) a genuine tease that Isaac is coming, all. at. the. same. time.

Tl;dr: Smash Ultimate is rad, and so is Isaac.

The NeoGaf leak is really questionable to me for a few reasons. First, Terra as the choice for a Second FF rep sounds weird to me. I feel if we get a second square rep it will be Geno. And if we got a second Final Fantasy rep, I would bet on Sephiroth for how iconic he is. The Galacta Knight and Soren Echos also seem weird. The rest sounds plausible enough but its not what I think our final loadout will look like.

IMO if I had a gun to my head for unique newcomers left, I would bet on Geno, Banjo Kazooie, Isaac, A Gen 7 Pokemon, Skull Kid and a Rhythm Heaven Rep. A little on the high side but its what my gut is telling me. My gut also is telling me a bunch of echos though.

Whatever newcomers we think are most plausible isn't really what we can expect. Certainly the most logical newcomer to me would be a Generation VII Pokemon like Decidueye, but... This is Sakurai we're talking about. Lol. I've been in these speculations for years, and the final roster is never what any of us expect.

As for the alleged 'leak'. I do wonder why fake leakers would throw a character like Soren and Terra in? Are they trying to play the whole "We don't really actually know who is coming, so guess wild" idea? It just feels like, if you're a fake leaker, that you would make something that could be most believable, so you could keep people in suspense.

However, I will say if we have to have Final Fantasy representation, it would be nice to have someone who has actually starred in a Final Fantasy game on Nintendo systems, and Terra at least seems to fit that criteria (I don't know for sure, as I have never really played the series, so I'm getting this from a FF Wiki).

After the last direct, it will suprise me less. I even convinced a friend of mine that Isaac will be in couse of the leaks and theories. He was neither pro or contra but now he is pro Isaac. I even imagine a trailer for him.. Like the pokemon trainer is looking for a rare pokemon.. you see some grass shaking.. and then a djinn hops out and Isaac appears to "catch" him

That leak would be great, if only cause of Isaac and Sable. I really can’t see it happening though (and Soren? Really? I’m one of the few people left that would like more FE, and even I draw the line at Soren)
