Yeah leakers/insiders have always been a circus lol. They all fell for red herring and they became desperate for not having evidence to prove the grinch leak wrong in any possible way. Only the direct itself will be able to tell now… damn tomorrow is gonna be a long freaking day…

So, what classic mechanic from Golden Sun would we be most hopeful to see represented in Isaacs smash incarnation? People always mention psynergy which would obviously be amazing but personally I'd be pretty excited if Sakurai decided to put summons/weapon unleashes/djinn releases somehow. (things not to be found in his SSF2 incarnation)

I feel like if Sakurai really put his mind to it, Isaac could be one of the most unique characters in the whole game, like Shulk. (I feel like Shulk is super unique)

I wondered how long until the "leakers" turned on each other.
Imagine that, Vergeben just got exposed to be piggybacking off of other "leaked" claims and is now at the opposite end of what said "source" claims.

Honestly I think it’s pointless to get all worked up over what Vergeben said. Let’s remember he doesn’t have the best track record for fighting games especially once it gets close to launch and dlc.

Is it possible for Isaac to be an Assist Trophy? Sadly yes, and if that ends up being the case I do have to agree with how messed up that is considering all the other big fan bases (Waluigi, Ashley, Knuckles, Krystal and Shovel Knight) got the bandaid ripped off all the way back in early August.

All I’m saying is to wait and see! If a bunch of other insiders start flipping to Isaac as an AT then we’ll just have to accept the inevitable.

Fair enough, and fair enough again on the Sakurai part. But while character over credibility is fine for making friends, and Mystic actually seems like a good guy where Verg... not so much, it's not something I'd value in this context.

I guess we'll see come Thursday.

There's a lot of posts and overall Spooky seems level headed, but as I'm reading through his stuff I'm pretty sure this is the one where I found talk about a Go Fund Me account. I won't say this means their troubles are fake or their info is fake. But money being involved in any forms means there is reason to be wary. And this goes for any leaker with any types of funds set up or tipping service going on.

As someone who is not a fan of Vergeben, that's not really the most mature response. If he gets this wrong (which I frankly feel he will), best course of action is to simply ignore him. Never bring up his name with regards to Smash and just enjoy the ride Sakurai provides us.

His track record is not as spotless as people like to claim, and his responses on GameFAQs today made it seem like he was pulling out of the scene in case things don't go his way. I’ll just say one last time, I’m done listening to insiders. I’ll wait for the Direct now.

But if you look at Mystic and Verg, one guy (Mystic) came out two days ago and shared the information he had and said he was confident after speaking to many people that Isaac was in. Then you have this other guy (Verg) who comes out a day before the Direct in another leaker’s thread to target the “Grinch Leak” with some vendetta and announces Isaac is an AT and posts a picture of a mic drop.

If I had to pick one I think I’ll go with the guy who was seemingly sincere with his info rather than the guy who seems angry at a community and wants to send some sort of (take that) message. Oh and Verg said he’s known about Isaac as an AT for awhile but just didn’t feel the need to say anything for some reason except for now a day before the last Direct. Right. If he had known he would have used that against the #TeamReal people that he was arguing with.

I'm confident on Isaac chances, Sakurai teased him, we are likelly to get 108 stages and only a superhuman could fake the Grinch leak.

Why is Incineroar missing? Ether he was leakbait, or due to thight schedule they prioritize the 7 characters on the leak and drop him for DLC.

Leak's are not conspiracy's. They're a discussion point. People saying that insider's are "hiding the truth" is conspiratorial. Saying that insider's are paid off, or told to cover things up, is conspiratorial. However. When the most prominent leaker just goes ahead, and nonchalantly deconfirms your most wanted character. This being a leaker you trust based on his current record, yeah I got upset.

As for Isaac's chances.....
Dude. Go back like 30+ posts on my profile. I've never been amazingly 101% confident in him. The most I ever said was like 90% because of the Item, and that left me so excited. But chances i've always wanted him very dearly. I have only ever said Isaac had no chance once, and that was in range filled tears today when it hit me, very violently, that we're probably the last one's left. Before the last two days I'm all in on him. If I didn't believe in him why on earth would I speak so positively prior to today? Trying to compile insider quotes to make heads or tails of his chances. Vehement defending that the mystery item was in fact Growth. Going out of my way to point out that the leading theory of it being a mario item didn't make sense. Why would I insist we thank Sakurai if the best came to past if I wasn't a genuine fan? Why would I spend hours combing over that fan poll of the ballot using the %'s to explain why certain characters made it or not. Why would I spend the last month on my twitter going out of my way to explain to people who Isaac is, why he'd be great in smash. Why was I so excited and giggy like a child when Isaac pulled to the grand finals in Reddit's character poll? Unless you think that i'm some sort of long form troll. Who's waiting to strike at the exact moment. I think you're jumping to conclusions about me.

The Smash community has already turned on him pretty hard. Even some of these other leakers have been open about being fed up with the insults and harassment from the community as well.

I don't like leakers in general, but I can't pretend the community has acted any better than them in terms of insults and attacking fan bases.
