Well RIP. Still doesn't change the fact we are getting some info this week.Yeah I wish
Also apparently Famitsu comes out Thursday, god damn it.
Famitsu posts on Thursday but tends to leak within the 24 hours prior on Wednesday. So is it Wednesday or Thursday? People have mixed information on Famitsu apperently.
So....I doubt Nintendo would want others leaking their stuff on the same day of the direct.Famitsu posts on Thursday but tends to leak within the 24 hours prior on Wednesday.
I never beat Banjo as a kid.Unofficial Smash Ballot 2018-results
Someone on reddit created a poll and our boi Isaac made 5th.
That first guys reminds me a lot of this, and bear in mind, newLEGACyinc Johnny does these videos as a satire of "leaks".Here's some updates from the YouTubes mania of Direct speculation.
Isaac is featured in this "text leak".
In worse news....WatchMojo puts us at #9.
Nothing bad about the spot, I just hate WatchMojo.
But how could Famitsu print info at the same time as the direct when they don't have much info? That sounds inconceivable. For all we know, Nintendo didn't plan to release information in advance in Famitsu at all. We're just speculating here. Its totally possible Famitsu will get the same information at the same time as everyone else, and they'll report on it only after the Direct actually airs.
Its a magazine right? Yeah that definitely sounds impossible. I agree with you.But how could Famitsu print info at the same time as the direct when they don't have much info? That sounds inconceivable.
It's not like Famitsu is a website like GoNintendo or GamExplain. Its a magazine right? Yeah that definitely sounds impossible. I agree with you.
I really love Banjo Kazooie, in fact he is up there with Isaac for the character I want in Smash. (Microsoft/Nintendo will never let it happen though). Give Banjo Kazooie another try if you get the chance. That reminds me Majora's Mask on N64 scared me as a kid but, later I picked it up and really enjoyed it. Ah memories.I never beat Banjo as a kid.
I was too scared of it after a certain part, same for Rayman 64. It doesn't help that my first N64, a certain game... you can probably guess which one, was my first 3d platformer and it turned me off from them for a while. The only platformer I beat as a kid on N64 was SM64.
That being said, the multiplayer was fun. The game where you shoot eggs at each other. That being said was Banjo Kazooie a good game? I don't remember because I was a scardy cat.
Rare games loved to use dark colors, I forgot what scared me. Like I love Geno as a character, but I don't really love SMRPG in comparison to the other Mario RPGs. That's why I ask the same question for Banjo.
edit: man, on that poll Ken landed high. Why vote for such an obvious shoe in? :B
No, I seriously doubt that. What he meant was that Famitsu might not know anything about the Direct yet. Therefore, the next issue will not include any Direct news, and there will be no info on it until after the Direct. So like, another week after this issue.
Edit: the caption thing is misinformation. The caption on the cover is the cover of an older issue from August.
No it’s not. I just checked, you can buy the September 13th issue and the cover displayed clearly says Ultimate’s Japanese name. What he meant was that Famitsu might not know anything about the Direct yet. On the other hand Sakurai has a column in Famitsu every month. It's likely he's already written about this Direct's Smash Bros. Content if there was any to be had. Whether we see the Direct before then or not is up in the air but if there was Smash news in the Direct you can bet that Sakurai is writing about it in his Monthly Famitsu Column. Thursday, or Wednesday for leaks, is the breaking point whether Nintendo wants it to be or not.For all we know, Nintendo didn't plan to release information in advance in Famitsu at all. I would be perfectly be okay with this if this leak was real. Isaac and Ninten are my two most wanted characters for this game. Here's some updates from the YouTubes mania of Direct speculation.

I thought my point was pretty damn obvious. You're right. They can't print info at the same time as the Direct when they don't have much info. That's EXACTLY my point. But how could Famitsu print info at the same time as the direct when they don't have much info? That sounds inconceivable.
That issue says September 13, 2018. Here's something else that's currently on the website:No it’s not. I just checked, you can buy the September 13th issue and the cover displayed clearly says Ultimate’s Japanese name.

Sakurai's column is every other week. He just had a column this past week... I think? Or did it take a week for Source Gaming to translate it?On the other hand Sakurai has a column in Famitsu every month. It's likely he's already written about this Direct's Smash Bros. I mean, i expected it.So Bowser's the update to the site today.
I would love this, if they got rid of the stupid fatigue gimmick they had in super pokemon mystery dungeon. Drove me nuts since I love playing as Ralts and just wanted to do that once I hit the postgame. Can we just get a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game for the Switch, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
Where did you hear this?So apperently, new smash characters will be revealed by Coro Coro today.
So much for a spoiler free direct. Ugh.
I also explained this to my friend (you know, the one who doesn't buy Isaac in the game) that Famitsu saw the presentation before the 6th since they would be recapping it for everybody due to the fact they have a long history of journalistic integrity in the country, and this was before the earthquake happened. Why would they announce new information on something if they would also have to wait on the Direct to appear worldwide, especially given that around that time, they were finishing up production of the latest magazine for sale? But how could Famitsu print info at the same time as the direct when they don't have much info? That sounds inconceivable.
There ya go.Where did you hear this?
A few people on Twitter have mentioned it. And PushDustin has already shot down the idea. I certainly am far more inclined to believe PushDustin on this.Where did you hear this?
PushDustin also shot down the idea of Sakurai implying more stages.A few people on Twitter have mentioned it. And PushDustin has already shot down the idea. I certainly am far more inclined to believe PushDustin on this.
No, but he's a good source on what happens in Japan because he LIVES there and knows how these things work.PushDustin also shot down the idea of Sakurai implying more stages.
I don't think Dustin is the end all be all when it comes to Smash speculation.
Why does it say released August 2018?No it’s not. I just checked, you can buy the September 13th issue and the cover displayed clearly says Ultimate’s Japanese name.

For someone who lives in Japan, he sure is **** when it comes to sampling Exit ballot data in Japan. No, but he's a good source on what happens in Japan because he LIVES there and knows how these things work.
I mean, when he took those counts, he was just one guy tallying the amount of people mentioning a character on Twitter. Of course it's not going to be the absolute, unquestionable truth. For someone who lives in Japan, he sure is **** when it comes to sampling Exit ballot data in Japan.
And that somehow means he's suddenly excused from using potentially skewed data?I mean, when he took those counts, he was just one guy tallying the amount of people mentioning a character on Twitter. Of course it's not going to be the absolute, unquestionable truth.
