Sunrise, Sunset - Isaac for Smash Ultimate #GoldenSunday

I can't, personally.So loz, who might not be loz, is saying Isaac won't get in but then some other loz, or the same loz, who may or may not be loz, is saying he could, and he will, and who even knows if loz's word means anything at this point and it's doing my nut in, let me tell you. I know the answer is to just ignore loz, it's the sensible thing to do. We'll find out soon enough anyway. But it's hard not to pick at scabs sometimes.

Would either of you like to comment on the veracity of these newer claims?
I was booted from the server after the leaks started happening, as I was wrongfully accused of being the GameFAQs leaker (which is what lead to me actually leaking stuff from the server).
There's been a lot of screenshots of loz giving weird info following all the leaks, though. I'm not sure if loz is joking or if these screencaps are doctored. All I can verify is that everything that was posted from the server in the "Loz18 has spoken!" thread is legit.
I don't believe loz18, myself. Don't confuse anything I'm saying with myself being a believer.
My leaks were out of spite, not because I wanted to spread his word. I believe loz had E3 info, and everything after that has been guesses and lies to capitalize off the reputation he built from his E3 leaks and gain more attention.

^ SmashInsider posted this. As you can see, it was recorded after I was kicked from the server. I'm not sure if you're familiar with how Discord works, but when you're kicked from a server, you lose access to it. Which means I couldn't have recorded footage of the server after I was banned.
I believe SmashInsider has been trying to make it seem like we're the same people in order to make people think I'm him. You've been duped.

I'm not even sure why you're trying to lie and cover this up when you've flat out acknowledged that loz18 isn't trustworthy. If he's not trustworthy, what difference does it make if he said Isaac isn't in (not to mention he backpedaled on that immediately afterward)?

I'm going out of my way here to stick up for Burb considering he's been dealt a pretty **** hand here (including a mod on the discord using a racial slur at him), and I don't like to see people try and lie to salvage the situation in their favor. I'm not sure how to link specific posts, but #191 #205 #219 (has video posted by anti-Isaac, or smashinsider where they ban Burb) #224 #234 where the mod with the slur is called out for being problematic in the past #251 (where a mod asks Burn to take vids down) #270, where Burb accuses Nazyrus of being part of the discord community, and #122 for a TLDR of the whole situation.
If anything is messed up, call me out so I can fix it. Putting this all together on mobile was a mess and it's likely something went wrong.
I get that it's hard to understand what's going on from the outside looking in, and it's natural to take the side of someone you know and trust over a complete stranger, but if you'd actually take the time to look at the evidence in this post and in my own posts, it far, far outweighs Nazyrus' evidence of the contrary.
To believe that Skull Kid isn't loz requires you to believe the following things:
- The server admin posting on GameFAQs, who openly acknowledges that Skull Kid is loz18 in his posts, is fake.
- The guy who invited me into the server (it's the user going by the name of "Near" in the gph link in the quote) forged fake evidence of Skull Kid being loz18, or the fake loz18 somehow had access to the real loz18's Twitter.
- The first video I posted was recorded 10 days in advance, all setting up for this.
- The server has had a fake loz18 posting in it for months.

They really gotta add more characters for under represented /obscure Nintendo franchises, so they can maybe get ported over seas like Fire Emblem or revived like Kid Icarus. Golden Sun and other lesser known Nintendo series deserve another shot!

Again I don't think anybody should trust Loz, people that claim to be Loz, or anyone who claims to have inside information with no way of confirming it (unless they have irrefutable proof as to what will be in the game, I do not care). As shocking as this news might be people lie on the internet.

Yeah guys we are currently in the waiting game now. I wouldn't expect anything from any of those two leakers. Even 4chan doesn't seem to be creative enough to make up anything new anymore lol. I think Nintendo finally found a way to keep things from leaking further... for now.
damn... I want to know more... I'm in a state that even a fake leak (THAT SAY SOMEONE IS IN NOT THAT SOMEONE IS OUT) would be good for me...
(Also... who in his mind would make a fake leak just to disconfirm someone? His focus would not be make his favorite seems better?)

It does seem like fake leaks nowadays are more focused on what characters are not in the game. It is pretty sad.

Switching gears a little bit, I wanted to discuss my idea for a moveset for Isaac. Everyone wants Move to be a Special, but what about utility Psynergy for Smash attacks and/or grabs? Think Bayonetta a bit, but with giant green psynergy hands. The elemental psynergy can then be used for specials (and there are a lot of options there.
I think it would be kinda cool to make Isaac someone who fights from a distance with all these varied powers. That would really make him stand out IMO.

I don't think loz is very credible either, but I can understand why someone may be worried that the enthusiasm here could deflate and try to do damage control as a result. I don't think it's right, but I'm willing to overlook it. I read through everything earlier and I believe you -- Thanks for clearing things up!

- His recovery or up special could his use of the Hover Jade allowing him to float for a temporary time.
- The lash pebble could work similarly to Simon's whip, Samus's whip, Lucas' snake and so on and so on.
- The orb of force, burst brooch, and cyclone chip could be grab commands. Blowing the opponent away, causing an explosion, of pushing them off.
- The pound cube always in mind could be used to perform edge guarding sequences, where it belongs in his moveset no idea.
- Halt gem could be like witch time with Bayoneta but to show difference of the two, I have no idea.
- Isaac's grab could be the psynergy hand appearing and moving to the opponent from a far distance to grab them and do whatever next, while he remains stationary.

After reading and watching it all, I am convinced that Burb is not the SmashInsider fool. The evidence is clearly there and Burb just wanted to clear up the whole GameFAQs thing with "GameFAQs hates Isaac" I have to say that he is right, after all. Burb seems to be a pretty reasonable dude and I don't think he deserved what he got. Heck, I don't even blame him for feeling the way he did. So as someone who has dealt with crap like this in the past. Even as an Isaac Fan, I respect that he can hold up an arguement without just throwing blatant accusations and ****posting anything rude.
So as a fan of smash, I am willing to stick neck out even when I don't know the guy very well.

Yeah my tip for everyone is: don't pay attention to any leak or leaker. Only let official reveals and hints from Nintendo hype and deconfirm whatever. It's healthier that way, rather than getting heart attacks due to sources we can't even trust.

We should take leaks with a grain of salt, like some unclear evidence and try not to get butt blasted about opposed opinions.

It's really hard to tell since we really don't know the real results of the ballot. I support both characters but I'm aware that Isaac is HUGE on Europe, and other parts of the world. Skull kid is pretty popular and his game is still marketed in different ways to this day. Rather than neck to neck… I like to believe that they are among the top 10 . But that's just my personal guess
Currently yes, and recently skull kid has even been more popular than Isaac. But back in the ballot days I don't remember skull kid being that popular at all while Isaac was definitely up there
And it's kinda expected for skull kid to be up there as the zelda fanbase is huge

This. And Skull Kid is hardly more mainstream 3-4 years ago than Isaac was when compared to other characters so I don’t see that argument changing anything with the ballot results.

Well on Gamefaqs most of the polls usually show Skull Kid beating Isaac.
Having said that I think Isaac had a far greater push behind him back during the ballot. (arguably an important time to be popular) Whereas Skull Kid's popularity seems to go up and down a lot. I guess it's not nice to say but I feel like a big reason why people are talking about Skull Kid now is because of supposed leakers telling us he's in.

I think it would be weird that Sakurai leaves Skull Kid and Isaac unannounced for ATs this long, considering they are highly requested… I don't see him getting us hyped and expecting them this hard just to shut them down as AT and not playable way too late… I don't want to get anyone's hopes up of course, but it just seems odd that, Sakurai, who came and double confirmed that Skull kid was NOT playable back in Smash 4, would leave us so open to speculation about him again (along Isaac this time). But who knows, this is indeed sakurai here… This wait is definitely worse than back in Smash 4 lol, the expectations are way higher than ever

I don't feel like there was anything new that the person pointed out but one of the comments was interesting to me.
"It has been pointed out already that apparently you can't get characters to line up in game like they are doing in the picture unless you're a developer and edit them that way, which supports this was a deliberate Golden Sun reference."
Is there any truth to this? If the image was deliberately manufactured to the point where they had to use developer tools it could add extra weight to it being an Isaac hint.

Hey, I'm new but mostly have just been lurking around forums for characters I like/other smash ideas. Sorry I'm late to the conversation.
Just wanna say before I add ideas that I am a really recent Golden Sun fan. I played basically because Isaac has made serious waves lately in Smash and I wanted to understand the hype. So I will probably never experience how it feels to be nostalgic about Golden Sun or be a long-time fan (like I would be for Banjo-Kazooie), but honestly the game is pretty damn brilliant. I am going to start the second game soon.
Thankfully, I can say I believe Isaac has better chances now than he has ever had, and he is probably one of the most likely characters to make it into the final roster (in my opinion).

Unfortunately... there's really no evidence that we have because none of us have the game to corroborate or fight that claim. Is it possible that doing something like this is developer only? I guess it is possible, yes. But it might also be possible to do it just the same.
I can understand where the claim comes from -just think about it. How do you make a boss/AT just stay there in idle animation while simultaneously lining up three characters in a line? Then you pause the game and take the shot. The problem is, that for all we know, there could be a mode in the game specifically for customizing a shot you want to take. We've all said before that Smash is a museum for gaming and the smash team for sure knows how popular it is for people to take a bunch of random screenshots for things that look silly in the game. This might also be why Sakurai is putting in facial expressions this time.
That's not to say that it isn't completely possible that a developer used this mode to stage this to look like Golden Sun too or just made it for fun. I mean, the thing that's interesting to all of us is that Sakurai posted it who is known for not needlessly posting much at all. None of us know for now.

It's hard to tell for me i mean… I can't really tell if they are side by side, or one behind the other and the angle of how the picture was taken is just helping the perspective view… I think you can see link's sword being clearly on front of marth (its tip is kinda hidden by marth's chest i think). Either way i still think this is a clear hint to Golden Sun anyway… if they wanted to just make more MH reference they could've actually represented it on the style of that game. Dunno…

Has anyone tried to recreate this image in Smash Wii U? Obviously you wouldn't be able to include Rathalos but everything else in that image is available in the Wii U version.
I know Ultimate is a new game but I'd figure some things like the camera might not change a whole lot. It might be interesting to try it.

I honestly don't see what these two characters have to do with each other other than the fact that fans are getting competitive over 'slots' so want any other possible character deconfirmed in favor of theirs.
If Isaac gets confirmed next, sure enough people will be comparing Geno and Skull Kid saying it's one or the other, or if Skull Kid is confirmed, then it'll be Geno and Isaac the smash speculation scene will jump on as to who's more popular to get a spot on the roster.
