But imo. While the model in brawl isn't the best, sakurai managed to surpringing get the eyes right.

I actually really like the NibrocRoc one but I guess we have our opinions. I honestly wish Smashified made Isaac performing psynergy instead of just holding his sword so people can know there is more to him than his sword but I'm happy they still did him

For some reason, the Nibroc model still gets the eyes heavily wrong.




I can definitely tell it isn't made by a Japanese illustrator, and it just feels off.

Yeah, Isaac’s face on almost all of his renders that people have made of him always looked off. With his AT, they obviously didn’t put a lot of effort into his face since his model would be more optimized than other fighters.

I’m pretty sure Sakurai and his team will make sure he looks right in Ultimate and look like how Isaac would in his most well known artwork.

Alot of roller coaster feelings in here but good to see the chat booming!
If Isaac makes it in what do we see as a big weakness for our fighter? Based on how I think he will play I'd say he would suffer in the speed and recovery department. I think range,technique and off stage play will benefit him greatly. Of course we dont have much to go on, but hey, we know what Isaac is capable of!

I actually had a thought about that. Isaac doesn't even need his sword to fight, but I can see him using it through GS's gimmick. the Djinn. as for his playstyle, I see him being along the lines of a Grounded Zoner. like Little Mac who's a Grounded Rusher.

Here's my Moveset Idea for Isaac.

Grab - Catch.
Isaac creates a hand that grabs the opponent. as a Pummel, he squeezes the opponent into his hand. as for his throws, he just tosses them around.

Jab - Sword Poke.
Pretty basic single strike attack. its quick and reliable. mainly used to create distance between Isaac and the opponent.

Foward Tilt - Move.
Isaac creates a hand that travels a long Distance in front of him. it moves fast and in a straight line, but only hits once with average damage and knockback

Down Tilt - Pound.
Isaac creates a fist and... well... Pounds his opponent. it hits hard and Spikes airborn opponents, but its slow and easy to punish.

Up Tilt - Scoop.
Isaac creates a hand that sends his opponent flying upward. what it lacks in damage, it makes up for in knockback.

Dash Attack - Pounce Attack.
the Basic attack from Golden Sun. it works like Links but it sends Isaac further. it hits hard but has a lot of end lag.

Foward Smash - Flint
A Powerful blow that Cleaves through stone. good Damage and Knockback for a Smash attack, but only works once (see Special attacks for more info)

Up Smash - Echo
Isaac Uppercuts his opponent using his sword, which is the followed by a guaranteed hit from the Djinni itself. just like Flint, it only works once.

Down Smash - Ground
Isaac throws a shockwave on the ground, either sending enemies flying or burrowing them, the latter only working once.

Neutral B - Ragnarok
Isaac charges a thrusting attack similar to Marth or Roy, only its an Explosive Projectile that you can aim.

Side B - Gaia
Isaac fissures the ground in front of him, causing it to spew out rocks, multi hitting his foes. Only works while Isaac is Grounded

Up B - Quake Sphere / Spire
Isaac uses the momentum of the Quake to propel himself in the air. the quake waves until it reaches the edge of the platform Isaac was standing on, damaging and knocking upward any opponent caught into it. if used in the air, Isaac will jump off a Stone Spire. it won't send him very far but the Spire has a Hitbox.

Down B - Set Djinn
When Isaac uses a Smash attack, he puts a Djinn on Standby. while he can still use his smash attacks, they pale in comparison to the Djinn attacks. also, the more Djinn you use, the more your special attacks become weaker, Reflecting GS's Djinn mechanic. Isaac can reset his Djinn by Pressing Down B. it takes 1 second per Djinni, which means it takes 3 seconds for all 3 Djinn.

Final Smash - Summon Judgement
What else to give Isaac but the strongest summoning of his own element? It works like PK Starstorm but its a single projectile. upon its explosion, the blast will expand until it reaches the Blast zone, destroying anything - or anyone - caught in its path. It will also put all of Isaac's Djinn in Recovery, where he will have to wait a little while before using them again.

So that's how I see Isaac. a Grounded Zoner making up for his lack of mobility and Recovery with a tremendous amount of ground control and hard hitting strikes.
(P.S. I hesitated between making his Djinn his Special attacks or his Smashes. let me know which one you think would work better)

just like he did with the returning fighters like Wolf, Young Link and etc.

Well, if that's what you expect... Have fun being let down.

I'm basically expecting just Isaac and maybe a stage. Venus Lighthouse, probably. Apart from those two things, the Felix echo is the most likely thing... and I wouldn't say it's that likely.

I don't expect this, but a man can dream right?

I think the brawl model's weakness is the lack of any detail on the body and sleeves. But they got the eyes surprisingly accurate. Looks kinda like it could come from golden sun.

Well let's go with a "what if" scenario
what if we Isaac returns as a AT but we get Matthew as playable with a Isaac-like alt? Same for Felix?

what if DD Isaac is shown as a AT? Maybe Matthew would appear in speculation cicles?

what if Isaac appears in Smash, and his first 3 alts are based on his party, and the last 4 is based on Matthew first party?

What if Felix appears as a AT? Would get Isaac's changes higher?

What if Matthew appears as a AT? That would kill or semi-confirm Isaac?

What if Alex appear as a Boss in story mode? We could finaly see him fight!(I just remember him kicking some soldiers in TLA start)

Sometimes I forget that Waluigi was created by a Camelot employee. It sucks that Waluigi is an assist again, but I can live with it. It's great that he is in a lot of Mario Kart/sports titles, but I just wish that Nintendo would put him in a mainstream Mario game, a Wario World 2, or his own game. Give him some love Nintendo!

Mmm, I don't mind the middle one. It's not perfect, but I'd be pretty happy with something close to that in Smash.

Just hope that if it does look closer to the second model, the eyes resemble Kajiyama's artstyle.

I think it would have been perfect if he was in Warioware Gold: replace that weird thing Wario calls by accident (a.k.a wrong number) with Waluigi for a way better gag, and then maybe he could have his own secret section of microgames! just a thought lol.

Can't. It would give the Zelda fan base flashbacks to the Water Temple (which I never really minded, but that's just me, I guess).

What was wrong with my Tifa drawing? (Not taking offense, just curious)

Isaac was drawn slightly differently than Tifa, mainly in the sense that I allowed myself to use a bigger "canvas". I made the mistake of putting a lot of reference images around the Tifa drawing, which meant the image ended up a little on the small side.

I mean it doesn't really matter, if I use it for a signature it'll be shrunk down anyway.

If they don't have a Direct then I think they're making a BIG mistake. However, if there will be another Smash Direct I think Isaac will be announced there. Maybe closer to October. I would think for a general Direct they would pick someone more widely noticeable. As popular as Isaac is I think the general public will be like, "Who?" so waiting for a Smash Direct is a better call.

However, I do think there'll be a Direct in September and I do think there'll be a Smash announcement, but I think it's more likely to be Skull Kid or Isabelle than Isaac.
