I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I just think all the "leakers" got info before e3 as people would of course have to set up the demo for it. If I remember correctly, Verg claimed Ice Climbers, Snake and Ridley without saying everyone was back and of course those characters were in the demo! Maybe he got more info than what was shown at e3 but I highly doubt he is getting more info.
I'd agree with this if he hadn't said stuff like "A Pokemon will be playable that isn't Mimikyu, Decidueye, or Lycanroc" and "a second Square Enix rep will be playable" without any sort of context at all.
Nah, he was talking about Golden Sun in general, defended it a few days ago. I just brought up in my video that since Verge doesn't usually post in Smash Ultimate forums unless it's to reply to someone who asked him a question or leak stuff, it's noteworthy activity.
I like the style of Octopath but not for a potential Golden Sun remake. Personally I would prefer a style similar to Bravely Default minus the chibi look, but HD of course.

I don't believe he was pointing at anything either. All I'm saying is that he HAS been vague as **** and I cannot trust what he says. Especially when he's getting things wrong left and right on his leaks for other games.
Yeah, at this point remakes/remasters of the first 2 Golden Sun games (ideally as one game like how they were initially intended) would be the smart way to bring Golden Sun back beyond Smash. If they made a Golden Sun 4, alot of people new to series will be like "ugh, I'll have to catch up on 3 games before checking this game out...", whereas remaking the first 2 games would give these people a perfect way to get into the series.
Because they don't know how to use Djinn like we do.

The twitter pic with the Rathalos is a better grasped straw than any other I've seen for the game so far.
If they're still like that despite Sakurai's latest interview then it would seem more like they're just being willfully ignorant. I wonder how they explained King K. I don't doubt that. But Wonder Red's game didn't do better, and that was five years ago. The moral is people employ selective logic when beneficial to their interests.
K. Rool might not be "relevant" but DK the series is, so there's their caveat.
That's what I never got lol. Everyone has their theories and even the rope and barrel pointed out back in the E3 presentation proved true with K. Rool's reveal. Oftentimes the speculation is just for fun and something to talk about till the next Info dump.
The argument i've heard is that since Inkling got in, then WR will be too. *Because relevancy* And i think the best shot WR has is if his supposed "switch port" does well when it's revealed and released. DLC or Next game would probably be my guess.

But they are both still Fire Emblem characters so that makes sense. Ganondorf has become more unique from Captain every game. So now he is his own unique character and the only character in the series to have echoed someone from another game franchise.
Which is such a terrible reason to not want a character in. It's on the same level as "Bandana Waddle Dee is the same thing as a Goomba with a hat".
It's ridiculous that they're even comparing The Wonderful 101 with Splatoon. Inklings were always going to get in, no matter how well they did on the ballot. (though I'm sure they performed well enough)

I would say probably good AOE on his down smash attack and down B. Maybe smaller area coverage with his up smash. Kind of like palutenas up smash but half as high? And maybe having to be more accurate in his air game as it is not his forte. Smaller hit boxes perhaps? Kind of like a ranged little mac with much smaller penalties and buffs.
That's another complaint I hate. Smash Bros should be about Nintendo's history (and to a lesser extent, gaming's history). The addition of characters only put in to advertise recent and upcoming games is frustrating for me. Some of the most popular characters in Smash Bros are ones from old franchises that haven't starred in a game in over a decade. Captain Falcon, Ness, and Ice Climbers come to mind.
Gotta admit, I kinda hated the Smash 4 style of addition (even though it netted us some great characters like Rosalina) so I think I would hate that place too. I’ll keep in mind to stay away from there.
That leak's been going around for awhile. He's already been proven wrong. In his first leak, he mentioned that Sakurai knew about all the complaints of Fire Emblem characters and so every Smash character trailer would have a Fire Emblem character get beaten up. He does know about DMC5, but definitely just lying about Smash.

Now let's be fair now, a guy who can shoot Golden Suns out of his hands would be a pretty cool character concept for a new Nintendo IP.
I remember someone on NeoGAF unironically comparing K. Rool support to Shrek (with nobody calling him out for that in that specific thread).
Relatively few Smash characters are particularly known among the general audience.
