Guys I need emotional support. I had a bad dream last where my friend got a copy of Smash Bros early and Isaac didn't make the cut.

Then again a Tetris block made the cut so I'm doubting the legit nature of this dream.

Not a big deal if Isaac doesn't make the roster when the game comes out.

Well i have my hopes up i mean an Arms character was announced last Gamescom… i don't see why they wouldn't take this chance to do the same with Smash. Here's hoping anyways…

Also, if Isaac is in the game he is definitely getting more then 12 songs and a stage, don't place your expectation so low, were do you think those 900ish songs are coming from? A lot has to come from Newcomers.

What if Isaac only appears as an Assist Trophy and there's another Smash Ballot for DLC? Is the plan still to vote for him regardless? Personally I think we should even if it would be useless. Continued demand would be important for the next entry, right?

The sum of all music is 9:47:29. About 18 hours of music is missing with only 18 categories remaining, making it very unlikely that all the music in the game is currently unlocked in the build shown.

Just time to move on when that happens to any particular character.

I think people have the idea that if he was an assist trophy they would vote for him on the ballot because it would likely be used for future games. I don't think anyone (well, anyone who is being reasonable) would expect him to be promoted from an assist trophy to playable in the same game.

I agree with them, it's important to have an eye on future possibilities.

I'd argue that if we got another ballot (and Isaac was an assist) the worst thing to do would be to wait until the release of the next game to support him, because our support would be too late then.

Yeah I don't think we are getting anything out of Gamescom. The best I see is an announcement of a direct and even that is very slim. I feel like we are going to get four more unique character reveals. One in a normal Nintendo Direct, a single trailer on the website similar to Robin and Lucina's reveal and another Smash Focused direct where we get two new characters

People really believe that leak. I still don't understand how people are actually claiming Simon was the echo fighter of Richter all along based on a fun little throwaway line in the Direct that was just meant to be a nod to Castlevania fans.

I just don't understand why people would settle for Gothitelle of all things to represent Generation 5. She's not an awful Pokemon but the people who actually legit want her are so few and far between that it makes no sense.

Great to see all those Isaac's though.

Well I think that's a bit too pessimistic. It kinda sounds like you're already being crushed by despair.

I'm in the 60%-70% range right now. Good chances but definitely not a sure thing.

Oh I've had my Isaac hopes dashed 2 straight games, 3 if you count the 3DS and Wii U separately or if you count Smash 4 DLC separate from the rest of the game.

Like I said, Isaac is retro baby, and there's not many peers left; Dixie Kong, Paper Mario, that's it... and the latter is kind of just in a weird flux neither Dixie Kong or Isaac have ever dealt with.

Also Sakurai is personally teasing Isaac. C'mon folks. BELIEVE!

Not to mention why would Sakurai go through Brawl assets to put in extra work to upgrade an old assist to Ultimate graphics when he can simply just port one of the many ones from 4? There's a reason why some characters have managed to get hit with the assist trophy bomb over the course of three games (Brawl, 4, Ultimate). Despite Lyn's popularity, she's still an assist trophy.

We have like what, two characters that went from assist to playable so far? Little Mac and Dark Samus? If Sakurai's touching Isaac's model at all, it's to make him playable. Though I won't say I'll eat my shoe or sell my house or anything if he doesn't make it cause that's silly lol.

I also fear for an assist as it means death in more ways than one. First, not being able to get in as DLC. And two, the next Smash game will likely just port over his Ultimate assist like all the other popular characters who are still assists. Not to mention by the time the next Smash game rolls around, I'll be well into my 30s and I kind of want to get off this wild train now lol.

They're tied with Fire emblem, roster is overcrowded and people expect heroes from the new games that just came out, living no rooms for older characters.
I personally think Daddy Sakurai didn't do great in balancing this series in particular.

(tl;dr: the coding files were translated from Japanese from said leaker, which the Brawl and Smash 4 said files were all in English)
