Yeah I do wish Isaac could've gotten his own video like Karate Joe, but I'm not gonna get greedy, them featuring him at all is great.

Plus, the video is basically titled "Isaac + 3 other guys in Smash?!" so he gets the spotlight there...

Also seems a bit misleading. Since they barely talk about isaac compared to everyone else.

Even though he's in the title.

So if we run with the assumption that the picture is indeed a hint, I agree that we will likely find out in the next direct what Isaac's fate is. And now that I think about it it could be sooner than expected, because I could see them inserting a random character reveal into a nonsmash focused direct between now and the next smash direct. If only because we already know that we are going to see every character announced prior to release, and that would be a great way to trickle out characters more consistently. Gamescom could also be an even to consider. We will probably only get one more blow out smash direct (I say this because beyond characters we largely just need info on the potential story mode and online and I just don't see them stretching that over two directs), so I imagine they are going to need to find new places to trickle out character reveals in the mean time. Granted this is entirely contingent on exactly how many more reveals are left, so who even knows. But something to consider (and hope for).

Honestly, the picture's angle, along with the theory of the characters matching up with the GS party members, is starting to make too much sense. I want to believe...

I hope it'll be more than just Motoi Sakuraba rearranging his own music. I'd like to hear different interpretations of one of his best works from other famed professionals as well.

Well statistics have shown that a Nintendo Direct is likely in September and extremely likely in November. If there is one more Smash direct it is likely October to prevent conflict between the two non Nintendo Directs.

Might be less Directs though

Other than the user title changing and getting a few (meaningless) points for hitting certain post counts, I don't think much happens.

I just meant you've been quite prevalent within the thread in the last little bit. Nothing if not a passionate supporter!

One thing I find kinda curious is that if this tweet is a hint at Isaac......isn't it a bit early?

We're not expecting another reveal until September. It seems a little early to be hinting at an Isaac reveal.

I mean if you think about it, if it really is an Isaac hint then Sakurai hinted at another character the same day as the direct.

I played the first golden sun and loved it, never finished 2, but I need to get around to it...Either way, totally support Isaac! May I be added to the list of supporters?

It'd be even stranger if in like two or three weeks Sakurai just tweeted out a picture that's been on the site for a couple weeks already.

Don't forget that in the tweet Sakurai reminds people that the site has been updated. So it wasn't just to post that picture.

I think that if this was a hint, it was supposed to be a really subtle one. I think if they hinted it close to the direct they’d know people would question and analyze it more maybe?

Has he ever posted a gameplay picture before when reminding people to check out the site?

I've seen someone mention that the site could contain other hints. It's an interesting theory but if there was any more hints to other characters I'm sure they would have been spotted by now.

This is true. If Sakurai posted a picture weeks later it would confirm Isaac as a character. This just raises his chances highly and failing hope, is a nice reference

Calling it now, we are leading up to an Isaac reveal prior to the unveiling of a new demo build at Gamescom later this month. One that includes the Belmonts, K Rool, and Isaac. I think I've officially jumped the shark with speculation here.

Let me be frank. He has never posted any game screenshot at all on his twitter.

Hell, he never tweeted out that the wbsite was updated, even when Ridley and more info was revealed.

Why would he do it now?
