oh do tell, what has ness done lately?

quite frankly im a little surprised people still see him as top 15. His results, especially as of late are lacking in all the strongest regions in the world. Characters like Tink, Megaman, and Marth have much better results since this latest patch hit. His theory is also not very impressive with his mediocre neutral and his ****ty disadvantage state. If he was better on paper then you might have an argument.
You're the guy with the almost visceral anti-Ness reaction to anyone who makes even a semblance of a positive note on Ness. Why am I not surprised?

Anyway, let's answer your question.

Firstly, he's done A LOT, judging by the number of results he's pulling in from all the locals and other bigger tournies going on, both here and abroad. Go check the CCI thread and go back a few pages, you'll surely see his head icon pop up countless times whenever some sizable tournament is mentioned.

Unless you're talking about the more notable tournaments, like the LTC4 or Apex, in which case... Not a lot. And why? Because none of his top players - Fow, Shaky, S1, etc. - were at these tournies. Which I personally don't harbor against the character's competitive viability, but hey, if it fuels your innate hatred for Ness, go right ahead.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - when you have an explosive advantage state that can do wonders in closing up a stock and bringing up the percent deficit to make a more-than-feasible comeback, you're going to find it hard to consistently argue "mediocre neutral" and "***ty disadvantage state" will be the death of the character. I also don't quite believe Ness has SUCH lacking neutral and disadvantage as you exaggerate, which I can tell given your healthy amount of claimed bad MUs without any real evidence backing 'em up.

That said, I don't see Ness as a top 15 character, so go be surprised at someone else.

I expect to see the Marth from False against ANTi tomorrow, can't imagine he'll go Sheik against ANTi of all people, someone who is good at the matchup, when he has Marth.

I think that is Raito's 2nd best placing ever lol, his top 8 at Umebura was such a breakout for him. Also its Tsu- not Tsu, it might seem petty but it had to be done considering Tsu~ can top 16 a tourney too lol

A shame Pon wasn't streamed :/.
Still, it's the best result Ganon got in Japan for a while along with Gungnir getting 5th recently, but that was in a smaller tournament (Though he did beat Taiheta).

What is the "boldest prediction" about this considering the two top Rosas didn't get beat by a Sheik since 1.1.5 while Mr R and Void started wild and fruitless counterpicking in their last encounters with Rosa?
(Apologies if I did miss some results)

On the other side Void did pretty good at Apex against Dabuz after he stopped counterpicking and played Sheik again so I wouldn't be surprised if today is the day he finally breaks the Sheik-Rosa curse.

That is why it is a bold prediction.....

The odds are in Voids favor, that is what makes it a bold prediction.

Edit:And most people think falln is not even a top 30 player while void is a top 10

You've gotta admit, Wrath is really good at exploiting the impatience of a lot of players below him. While I may not like the way he plays, maybe he'll teach more players to not take unnecessary risks.

Protip: walk up to Sonic when he Spin2Win on the ledge. You pressure him to release prematurely and you can punish the option after it hits your shield, as they are extremely limited.

Wrath is abusing the fact that everyone is scared to contest SpinDash, which I don't understand why people are.

REVERSE 3-0 FROM HYUGA

I don't care what anyone says. That set was hype. Projectile camping is interesting to watch.

Man, Hyuga with dat reverse 3-0. Hyuga figured ScAtt out by the 4th game and pretty much picked him apart on the 5th.

It's nice being able to root for Bayonetta without feeling bad about it.

Nietono's specialty is ledge trapping, but Bayonetta is really good against that sort of thing.

God damn beautiful edgeguards coming out from Saj right there. Bayonetta definitely dominates that matchup offstage, even if she struggles against Diddy's onstage pressure.
