Also, the tournament starts when I have time to run it after 32 people have signed up and confirmed a general time period.

Okay, now I think you're joking. Tournament Listings are what decide the tiers. How do they not help?

As ( I believe) Yuki says, one must use common sense. The fact that a good player uses a certain character doesn't necessarily even INDICATE a character being better than another.

For instance, a highly technical player might use Peach, MK or Marth over Snake, Lucas, and ROB because it fits his natural strength. Likewise, a more theoretical player might prefer Ness or Samus over Peach or MK because it might be easier for him to have a certain amount of control and ability to play out an idea from his mind.

What does? Patient, open-minded observation and patient, open-minded analysis.

This is subjective (technically); therefore there is no fact or stat that indicates anything more than observation and analysis does.

Tournament placings decide "official" tier listings, but who gives a crap?

Testing matters FAR more tha incidents like tournament finishes.

As I said before, I had initially had Shiek in there, but prohibiting the change to Zelda is something I didn't want to do, so I just got rid of them entirely.

I'm going to play Vic and other good DKers more, while purposely testing out my Marth some more. If the events that take place are similar to how they have been in my matches and ones I've seen, not much will change.

Also, as far as you can demonstrate, I AM always right. You're just another female who chooses to view things this way and is hardly capable of analyzing statements critically.

LOL, Kawaii this tournament is a joke. Im surprised snake isnt a useable character as well. Obviously OP needs to lurk more before creating tournaments that make no sense whatsoever such as this one.

Common sense? Last time I checked, appealing to the majority didn't justify anything.

Also, I included your gender because your response " I'm always right. Blah,blah,blah,blah, blah." was completely mindless, exclusively intuitive and seemed unconditionally resentful towards lack of intellectual modesty--traits VERY COMMONLY found in females. Gosh, didn't know I was so unreasonable.

Why would I include them? Gosh, I don't know--maybe because in my opinion they took a lot of effort to win with.

Also, I read the official tier discussion thread almost regularly and was a main contributor to it for about two weeks straight a little more than a month ago.

I stopped because it's just people giving their harmless, honest opinion on tiers while these nobodies are always there to condemn them for not doing what everyone else does.

Melee's tier discussion had MUCH more considerate arguing.

They, like all the other people who based their own personal tier lists on everyone else's opinion, just impulsively attack me rarely with a legitimate argument.

I've only come across THREE people who didn't just personally attack me with " are you stupid?", what the [] is wrong with you?", "lmao. are you kidding me?" and several other malicious attacks.

If you want to take it with a grain of salt, go ahead and think you're opinion is any more valid.

I've already told most people there that Marth moves like a heavyweight and has major lag after several attacks, causing him to be defenseless more often than most characters. I have yet to hear a response to it--just more personal attacks based off other parts of my arguments.

DK isn't so much good as he's just fortunate to be played well. All the best DK players I've seen play at presumably near their peak with him.

No, fricken, way. Surely, you haven't tried Zap's Olimar? He's one of the five hardest characters used by anyone I've faced.

Sorry, most must be playing him poorly; there is NO way Olimar is low tier. You can camp all day w/ Olimar and very easily dominate offensively.

By the way, I'm very close to removing Marth from the list after extensive practice with him last night.

I haven't worked with DK, though watching KDJ's DK was certainly at least eye-opening.

I'm going to base things off my experience, because it is included in the "grand scheme of things".

For instance, my experience tells me ROB ( particularly my best ROB) would wipe the floor with MK and Snake. But I don't because of the theoretical advantage MK does have.

I place Snake high because he's decent enough and does win a lot of tourneys ( though I do think ROB is realistically better than him by quite a bit).

Besides, I never said one player really makes the case for the character they use--I do think they open my eyes, though. For instance, I'm naturally horrible against all Olimars ( I struggle to figure him out because the way you play him), but Zap's is the only one I haven't beaten very much ( he's at least 5-1 against me).

I'm officially taking Marth off the list.

My working with DK hasn't been very conclusive either way.

Oh, and, Gosmith--I'll be using Ness, Samus, Bowser, and Jiggly. Mostly Samus and Ness, though.
