umm idk

prolly the latter. im not japanese. but ur fancy for chou kawaii anime is curious and would be complimented well with knowledge of japanese

however learning korean would help with understanding sc commentary and 75% of the asian population on any good college's campus

edit: wait u should know im not korean. we met at pound 4 - and u challenged me to a mm, and i declined

edit x2: oh, but it could be a valid question cuz im part korean so i could easily be part japanese cuz i dont look korean at all..

Haley can you teach me how to be a devout studier? I can't do it mannnnnnnn
Do work when you feel like you want to. Believe me, I'm not that great of a student myself, I just actually like my subject so it makes it easier for me :).

The boards can make it hard to work so... log off or something and stay away rofl.

I usually listen to music and zone out, it works for me.

He's asian its in his blood

I have the same problem with facebook and the boards.

In truth it's because our generation has been raised with ADD because of all the technology and time killing opportunities available to us. It used to be that they had nothing better to do than study or read a book (which is the same thing in the end). Now we have the internet, God's gift to procrastinators.

If that wasn't bad enough we also have video games, faster means of getting from A to B (which means friends houses to do anything but study), and electronics that are bound to make time fly as you approach the innevitable due date of your exam/project/HW/etc.

My advice: take a wrestling stand point (also known as a Rock Lee stand point for any Naruto buffs out there).

Tell yourself that you are going to get X amount done or else you will have to do something else. What Rock Lee does is he tells himself that if he doesn't do 1000 jumping jacks he'll have to do 2000 push ups and so on. In wrestling we had a certain time frame to do so many things that if we didn't, not only would we have to start over but they would add more to the workload.

So heres what you do: set aside some time to study. Let's say 4 hours. In this 4 hours you get one or two ten minute breaks to do whatever. Be sure you don't get hooked and stay on the boards, be strict on yourself. Let that inner drill sergeant starrt yelling at you. Tell yourself if it's homework that you will have so many pages written or so many problems done within the reasonable time.

And then reward yourself if you do it (like a dog gets treats for sitting). If you finish earlier then the alotted time, (lets say 15 minute to spare) use that time to do whatever before you move onto the next.

And every time you get on facebook or the boards or any web comic/youtube/internet distraction, find a means of punishing yourself. Close it and do 20 quick push ups. Not bad at first, but eventually you'll hate yourself for getting on it.

tl;dr:

stop being a lazy *********** and ***** do your **** ****** *** ** **** work and stop **** **************** *** * ***** and then go * ******* *********** ** ****.

Hope it helps :p

Iunno I actually study with AIM/Boards on in front of me

I'm sooo used to it =33333

Allow yourself to take breaks btw, doing work for 4 hrs straight is just unrealistic. Take a break every 1.5-2 hrs ish

You don't HAVE to study a lot, but it helps.

You could look at it this way:
Being naturally good at studying makes you more efficient when you do so.
So the amount you get done in 5 hours of studying a night would take most normal people at least 5 and a half (maybe 6... maybe) :p

So... I'm naturally good at studying?

Man what a awful talent =/

It also, really isn't a talent imo. You learn whats a better way to invest your time the further you go into your school career.
