It does. Seven in ancient Hebrew texts is metaphoric for infinity. Genesis isn't the only place where that's referenced; I believe in the New testament Jesus was quoted saying that we must forgive our enemies 7^777^777 (or something like that) times. I doubt he meant do the math, I'm pretty sure he meant forgive always. The reason I dislike creationists is because they often complain about evolution, and go on with the bible but they don't even know this. The problem is that back when the old testament was written... well, do you really expect that people of that time could grasp the meaning of infinity? No, so the writers just used a specific number with greater meaning instead. In fact, by saying that the world is still being created, the bible is probably the first documents on evolutionary theories! Fascinating, isn't it?
