Man, speaking of voice acting, the new announcer suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks
HIGH FIVE ON THAT! why do people like this Announcer!?

Anyway here's a treat, an old treat.

You know how those silent films where you had to make up the dialogue in your mind as the movie played? I challenge the next person to make up a speech for the red stick figure who slaps the blue guy.

here's mine:
Red: You did what to you mother?!
Blue: Shoryuken!

i lol at ragdoll physics, watch how he hits the ground

I'll post another one when someone replies to this.

I was poking fun at snake's range with his tilts, where you can hit them even though (visually) he makes no contact with them at all. I wasn't saying which tilt it resembled.

At least he isn't the new Blazblue announcer. That ****'s just painful, and he's better than the original, who put me asleep.
WHEEL OF FATE IS TURNING

The old announcer was lame too, but seriously, he makes the SF IV announcer sound like the Alpha 3 Announcer.

EDIT: This was definitely worth writing as my 4000th post.

So much info in the past weeks. 2 live streams, a bunch of videos, new character stamina rankings, and awesome character themes. It's enough to survive through the next couple weeks.

I've decided not to get this game on the day of... Imma wait til the value drops, hoping by Boxing Day.

On top of that, the roster list looks bloody huge on the selection screen.

But when you watch the character intro trailers, it only feels like there were so little added.

At this point, the only new info I want is music. I really to get a taste of the new character music tracks, especially Dee Jay, Dudley, Honda, Makoto and Balrog.

A whopping EIGHTEEN new characters for the **** to play around with.

Cammy, Fei Long, T Hawk, DeeJay, Rose, Gen, Dan, Sakura, Guy, Cody, Adon, Dudley, Ibuki, Makoto, Gouken, Seth, Juri, and Hakan.

This will be interesting.

and ten for console users.

Also expect a new pivot animation by tonight...

Also is $30 a good deal for a Hori Fighting Stick 3? Heard bad stuff about it.. but for 30$ compared to 99$

On the bright side, Mad Catz sticks are easy to mod.

Yeah, but you don't need to mod Hori sticks, unless it's for aesthetics. They have Semitsu buttons, which are just as good as Sanwa. Plus, square gates are win.

although i'll probably want to play on a octagon gate, i should be able to adapt to sq's eventually.

The seimitsu buttons look like (from videos) stiff, requiring more effort to push down than sanwa buttons. are the stock buttons 30mm? if i come up with a template i'm changing button colours as well.

another curious question, i got the FCE NES Emu in my homebrew channel via Wii, will the hori be recognized if i play galaga or something? It'd be an incentive for Dad to say Okay let's get it!, because he loves galaga even though he ain't great.

In his case, for a regular Hori Fighting Stick 3, he'll have to mod the buttons and the stick if he doesn't like the stock parts. Only the HRAP3 SE has Seimitsu.

I didn't like the standard Hori Fighting Stick 3. The buttons were okay, but I didn't like the stick. Plus the whole thing was really light.
The HRAP3 is good though. Sanwa stick but with stock buttons aren't bad.

I still love my HRAP2 SA though.

happ stick + seimitsu buttons = win
I don't think I've ever tried an arcade stick with Seimitsu parts before. At least, I wasn't aware of trying any.
And I hate Happ sticks unless it's for Marvel. I've played 3rd Strike with one and my parry timing was off since I wasn't used to it.

That's going to be up for debate soon...

This ain't that new animation I was talking about, I learned about ULead GIF Animator and was able to put quick finishing touches on this, such as text for speech, a black overlay for the ultra freeze ambience, and hit GFX.

i like seimitsu parts more as i like to rest my fingers on the buttons when i play and i can't do that with sanwa parts. and i just prefer happ sticks cause they reset faster. doesn't mean i don't like sanwa sticks though.

resetting faster meaning the stick has a stiffer spring or whatever pulls it back to neutral, right?

rest your fingers meaning its a concave curve rather than a convex?
