I'm able to play 3SO on PS3 now so if anyone wants to add me, my PSN is Izanagi_XIII
I can't seem to land my Genei Jin combos after just doing it on my 360. Hopefully this lag is some dumb placebo effect. :ohwell:

She has some pretty good pokes. Crouching MK and Toward HK have good reach. Crouching MP goes far and is cancellable, but it's bad since it's kinda slow. To get in, you're going to have to abuse Ibuki's really good walk speed so spacing is important. Her best BnB is probably Standing MK into Raida (which is also a pretty safe blockstring). If you have meter, Standing MK into EX Tsumuji is good.

Basically the way to play her is space until you can safely walk in, and then start doing frame traps with her normals and threaten the opponent with throws or guessing wrong. If you get a throw, her regular dash is nice for quick mixups. If they block, stuff like jab to MK to her LK command dash keeps the pressure nicely. Just don't do the command dash by itself since if they hit you out of it, she takes more damage.
Ok. I went online keeping your advice in mind and I did WAY better. Sure i lost more then I won, but I was at least putting up a fight and not getting perfected lol.

Another thing I want to know is which SA you would recommend for Ibuki. I've heard her SAI is good, but I don't know how to combo into it at all minus a random Kunai hitting the opponent.

Edit: Anything for dudley?

Yeah, it's hard to start with Ibuki. The low health hurts and you need to be tricky with her. A nice mixup after her close roundhouse btw is to do back MP to HP and then dash to the other side. Or you can do close roundhouse to MK and command dash. It's pretty fun and ambiguous.

For SAs, SA1 is the go to super. She's going to need plenty of meter for her EX kicks. To hit confirm it, MK to EX DP to super is pretty good. I'd use it mostly for chip if anything. You can also set her SA1 up with her unblockable but I'm not sure 100 percent if I'm right on how it works. Basically do her command flip into a kunai and then cancel into a super so it hits 2 separate separate directions forcing them to block one way and then the other quickly. SA3 isn't too bad but you only get one meter so people don't usually use it. I think it's good for some matchups. Crouching MP and standing MK are your hit confirms into SA3.

This is going to be a lot, but I'm guessing more info, the better so why not.

Toward+HP is a good random poke time to time. Jumping HK (which is pretty ambiguous) and HP are good air to air moves. Crouching MP and standing HK are your good combo starters. Without meter, combo into his uppercut. With meter, do HK into EX Machine Gun Blow into MK Ducking Upper (and maybe super). In the corner after EX Machine Gun, do Jab Machine Gun (twice) and then finish with HK into Uppercut or something. You can be creative with that.

While standing MP is Ibuki's best whiff for meter, standing HK is Dudley's. Use Corkscrew Blow as his super. He has a lot of ways to land like cancelling his uppercut into it. If you're trying to hit confirm with a poke into a super, do crouching MP into SA3. If you're up close, do crouching LK twice into super. For shenanigans landing into it, command dash under them when they jump towards you and cancel into SA3. If they're crouch blocking, do his crouching LK twice and then open them up with the Universal Overhead (MP+MK) and link into super.

Dudley has good pressure and mixups. His taunt is pretty useful and gives him a damage boost for the next attack/combo (once is the limit per combo and the rose doesn't need to hit them, just needs to be thrown). If you get them into a corner and they're knocked down, do his taunt so they're forced to block it. This gives a 50/50 mixup. If they crouch block, do his toward+HK and link into super. If they stand up and block, do his crouching LK (twice) into super.

For anyone that's facing Dudley and wants to know how to get out of that, wait until the last moment and down parry the rose. That parry will also parry the crouching short if it was used.

Yo, everyone, add DeathApp on PSN.

I'm curious, Sean's H.Tornado doesn't knockdown at all (they really did make him a joke...) Does the opponent have advantage after the attack ends?

Thanks guys for that lol. Ok, there's probably more than 2. My point still stands though. XD
And Yars, I did add you so feel free to accept only if you want to play me.

Relearning 3S is painful. My execution is pretty bad right now.
If anyone has time to play me, I'd appreciate it since I'm trying to get my Yun back.

I use other characters too of course in case anyone hates fighting top tier.

so my friend who's really pro at this game tells me he can't play because his dual modded stick is dead
last time i was at his house, he finally downloaded the game, and told me he was gonna play on pad until he gets a new stick in a month.
i'm online with him now in a lobby and he played one match before playing me with ryu and played really scrub like so i figured it was just him getting used to pad
once i play him, he destroys me
then a match later he loses, played scrub like
then when he finally gets another match he plays yun and gets a guy in keeper jin

my mind is full of ****

So I've been playing the demo on my PS3, connected to my ASUS 22 inch monitor. Connected via HDMI and all...why does Ryu's face appear so blocky o_O?

That's just the way Ryu's face is. All the time.

I've got to work on getting my parry timing back. I tried the parry trials, but they weren't that useful.

I swear people do this to me on purpose. Out of every game on SWF, I think I've only had 2 people add me first. lol
I would've added you if you asked, haha. We'll play matches in the near future I'm sure. Though, I'm still training and I need to get my feet wet with online.

EDIT: Man, I haven't play a 6button fighter in forever, and I'm still getting tripped up some. Also, the cancels in this game are really throwing me for a loop. I finally figured out how to cancel out of a DP motion into a SA though (after some common sense thinking) Have a few good BnBs, though I don't have too many that don't require an EX...Stupid Sean specials

EDITEDIT: Video of me playing my brother in 3rd Strike for the very first time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJRN7Cnjb0w&feature=player_profilepage#t=73s Note that at this point, neither of us know any combos, video is really only good for the time I put it at.

I'm loving 3rd Strike right now, especially when facing people that know the game since they're less random. Faced against a Makoto player while I was Remy. I ended up catching on to his tendencies and knew he was going to do a EX Hayate midscreen since I had no health. Reacted and parried it into crouching strong into SA2.

Awwwww, I'll add ya minato. C: I could use some practice anywho~!

SO LIKE
Doods I never knew how awesome this game was. xD Its so fun being able to let loose when your up in the opponents face~!

it stinks though...I started off playing elena and ending up kicking butt with her! But then I switched to Twelve outta curiosity. I'm only half decent with him, but I kept practicing at him. THEN I got tired of loosing so I switched to elena again, and tooootally forgot how to play as her. ._. Its like, once you get that twelve "I gotta jump around like a fruit bat" mentality its hard to play as anyone else. xD

Man...why do I always end up going for the horrid characters? ;~; Still, twelve is fun. Also his voice is cute. It reminds me of Gir from invader zim. :3

I'm outta here!

On the note of voices, I think Ryu's is the best iteration in 3rd Strike

Currently playing Yang because I really like his options. Still awful at the game though, execution is still poor too :\ To anyone I play, I'll more than likely be no challenge at all.
