Yeah, we found a new venue that doesn't open 3 hours late every day, so we decided to start running tournaments again.

It's at
4332 Cochran St
Simi Valley, CA 93063

and you can see a live stream of the venue at http://tutusicecream.com/Welcome.html

This will be melee and brawl so long as people bring melee setups, and I strongly encourage all the locals to attend so we can get a decent series of tournaments going.

Some things we need, since I can't make it due to personal reasons (grandpa's funeral):

Powerstrips
Setups (melee and brawl)
Someone with Tio on a flashdrive
Melee host

thats all.

Rules: 5$ entrance fee for singles, 5$ for doubles, 2$ venue fee

pot split is 60/30/10

Melee rules will be up to the melee host

Brawl rule's are
3 stock
7 minutes
Items off
Advanced slob picks
DSR
Stalling and mk's infinite cape glitch are banned

Stages:

Neutrals
FD
Battlefield
Smashville
Yoshi's Island (Singles only)
Lylat Cruise (Singles only)
Pokemon Stadium 1 (doubles only)

Counterpicks:
Castle Siege
Frigate Orpheon
Lylat Cruise (doubles)
Yoshi's Island (doubles)
Halberd
Pictochat
Luigi's Mansion
Jungle Japes
Pokemon Stadium 1 (singles)
Brinstar
Delfino Plaza

All others are banned

Get there around 1 pm and BUY ICE CREAM

thanks a lot

man this is so freaking close, i should bring a melee set-up one of these days and help out the tourney

hopefully people will show up for melee and not just for brawl.

that completely defeats the purpose of this being close if i take you. >_> it then becomes a 40 minute drive

****, I just found out that I'm going to be in Santa Cruz this weekend, so I won't be able to help out with the tourney :(

However, as long as you have a working (NON-buggy) version of tio and you know how to use it, everything should be fine. Don't try to use some kind of special or old version---it will just fail you. Also save the brackets constantly because crashes are sometimes inevitable.

Awesome.

Would anybody passing by Camarillo be willing to give me a ride (will help with gas $)? Really interested in going to this.

I can bring a Wii + Melee/Brawl

I said from the beginning that I wasn't sure if I could attend this tournament, so I'm sorry if you heard differently Junk.

Bigfoot, you can't just set an extremely close date for a tournament and then try to work out the logistics after the fact. It's an obvious recipe for disaster, and you've consciously done this with several tournaments now. It's not fair to the tournament participants or the tournament organizers that you deceptively dump your responsibilities onto.

It's really annoying when organizers advertise their tournaments when they don't even know what's going to happen the day of. Next time you want to organize a tournament that you know you can't attend, secure at least two full-time, reliable organizers before you start telling to everyone. Also have tio and a seeder, because without those it's hard to call your tournament legitimate.

And please, avoid handwritten brackets at all costs! It will be a disaster trying to evenly seed 19 entrants into a double-elimination bracket.
