It freezes after loading the stage (You can hear the Wii loading it). I have an idea of what could be causing it, so I'll give it a shot and tell you the results soon.

Edit: Got the CSS to work, finally, but I tried a stage that used to freeze, and now it still freezes, except the fact that it doesn't do the beep sound anymore.
Try emptying and formatting the SD card O.o

Sometimes brawl starts acting weird when you're always making direct changes to the filesystem in the SD I guess O.o

Hmm, actually, all my stages work except this one, which OizenX said it does not work for Brawl+ users, altough I do not use Brawl+ anymore.

Edit: Another stage is not working, but this one freezes with the beep sound.

Freezing so far:

Metal Harbor
Northern Crater
Bluemoon Battleship
Volcanic Cavern
Peach's Castle (MKWii)
Hyrule Castle (I think)
Ravaging Depths (Snake Man' stage)

Fire Temple (Spear Pillar), Sakura Ville (Smashville), Sherbet Land (Summit), Water Level (Mushroomy Kingdom (Underground)) are in my SD Card, but the stage when played is the original one..

Well, those are my issues, everything else works.

Edit: Fixed Sherbet Land, I had named the file STGSUMMIT instead of STGICE. The other stages are named correctly, though.

Any ideas?

2nd edit: Wait a minute, LOL. The Mushroomy Kingdom stage was the original, but as a pac file. I'll look at the two others if it's the same thing..

I get freezes whenever I try playing on either Smashville, Mushroomy Kingdom or Shadow Moses Island.

It's a problem on the Stage Expansion codes, but since I need the expansion I can't take 'em off.

And I'm also having some random freezes after the results screen. I believe it might be a problem on any of the CSS codes.

Well, I seriously have no idea why some stages work now (I think it's the rel files), and some don't.

I had rel files and I re-did them, now a few more stages are working. But why isn't Big Blue, Pirate Ship, or Rumble Falls working? I don't even have rel files for them. I'll try other stages.

Alright, I minimized the chance of seeing into the void. You have to get into really close combat in certain areas and even then, you see very little void. You will see a lot if you move the pause camera around though. Oh I used different lighting too. Get it here.

Btw, I always give credit if I use someones stuff. I may not post it here because it's pretty obvious where I got it from, but credit is given in BrawlVault, where it's the most important IMO.

Hey, I do not remember but, do STGGW.pac and STGVILLAGE_00.pac need to have the "_en" after the names? I didn't add a stage for these two since months ago.

Hyrule Castle won't have BoE's sun if you use an FD .rel. But you knew that :)

@BigSharkZ: Awesome. I'll have Riivolution set up to switch between your pack, my pack (when it's done) and vBrawl stages.

Actually, BoE's sun lens flare/glow effect is a second model that can indeed work with a FD .rel. It's just a bad thing for Hyrule Castle.

Yes, both those stages do indeed need "_en" if the .xml file you're using doesn't make a specific reference to them w/o the "_en". *cough*usemy.xml*cough*shamlessplug*cough*

Then again, I didn't set mine up for multiple packs, just to switch between mods.

Honestly the hole just looks like a lake, in the game.

are the ones that freeze, and I think that one or two others I didn't test freeze too (I'm tired of restarting >_>)

Plus, Fire Temple just doesn't load at all. It's the original stage..

Also, here's a preview of how the package looks like, it comes with nice Giygas buttons at the bottom right. =)

If youre just testing stages you dont have to restart your wii .I just go back to Brawl Main Menu then take the sd card out. Then make changes and then put back in wii. You do however have to restart the game if youre editing SSPs.

BTW: I've been working on my own custom stage pack, for personal use of course ;)

If you have bootmii, reset and it should bring you to the bootmii menu. GO to the HBC and then take out he SD card and make changes.

The bridge froze again. >_<
I'll just use different models.
Only one issue: Where can I get rails???

What are you guys talking about? I know how to test stages easily, I'm talking about the ones that are freezing.

Lookin good. I don't know if the shine is possible but if it is then yeah. The metal track path is supposed to hang over the left ledge btw (I think). Can't really see from the in-game shot from SSB64 posted here.

If so, could you make a package with all of them and send it to me? If it still freezes, then it's not the stages, but could be the codes I'm using, or maybe rel files.

It would be better for you to go removing some codes instead.

It worked with me. I found out the exact code that made my stages freeze.

After all, it's unlikely that you've downloaded that much glitched stages.

EDIT: And if that doesn't work, then at least you'd be sure it's the rel files.

That doesn't make a sense BSZ, if the stages were working for you before, the stages will be working for everyone. I mean, if they got corrupted or something, they would be corrupted only for you. And they are not so much, so you could download every single stage from the vault the same way any of us could. And you wouldn't have to download the pack file, so you would be gaining time O.o

You have 2 options if they still don't work.

1- Clean up your SD and format. Then put everything in again.
2- Make a new gct file with only the SD loader code

If they still freeze when done, the only option is that some of your menu files are somewhat corrupted, or too big, or something.

big shark z try re-typing in your code. mewtwo 2000 remember when i asked you for help cuz all my textured or hacked stages kept freezing including your fourside city. So i checked my code and i noticed i added an extra number by accident. then i re-typed my code and everything worked. so just re type your code very carefully and it should work.

I rebuilt the bridge out of other models and it loaded successfully.
It also looks more accurate than the old model.
Only thing is,
I need rails. Rails like the rails on the upper stage on Shadow Moses Island.





As you can see, the lighting needs adjustment because it make everything too saturated.

Thanks for the suggestion, Mewtwo. Did not know why I didn't think about that.

Well, I tested one stage with only the File Patcher code, and this time, it froze without the beep sound.

Edit: Well, I took a look at my codes, pasted them all again (From their sources), and noticed that the File Patcher Code was longer, by one line. This one code was given to me by Wave Kusanagi, because I had problems with my CSS (Which I managed to fix by myself later on). Will try again.

Edit: The game does not start now.

Edit: The game starts, but I have a black screen after the Wii Strap screen. The hell's happening?

That was the Melee Kongo Jungle.
For reasonns unknown, a branch can obstruct the view of the stage more than the Nintendog does.
I guess that's what he meant by a "Brawl twist"
