But isn´t it unfair if Mr. G&W gets 2 stages and Captain Falcon and Ness as Elite Veteran gets 1. O.o?

Keep in mind Mr. Game & Watch has two courses across both versions. Ness and Falcon have at least that, don't they? Besides both versions of the game had courses split among them, so there's no use not counting both.

I do think there should be at least 2 per series minimum on the Wii U, of course. I agree more would be nice. Mario has way too many. Noting the icons, anyway.

Well, Flat zone 1 is confirmed, which means 9x6 is pretty much guaranteed at this point.

I don't see a reason for the stages to make a perfect square or rectangle. Brawl's stage select screen was a cool mess, with the Mario series cut, as Mario Circuit was not on the same line as the others Mario stages.

Plus, the Miiverse stage will automaticaly change the screen.

I don't think it'll be a perfect square or rectangle, but I do think all the stages from each franchise will remain on the same line except Mario (and even then, Mario's spinoffs can be split off, with Mario Kart and Luigi's Mansion on the second row).

well there is a GBA F-Zero game in the same style as the SNES game, but it does not have the Captain, to my knowledge....

IIRC, the sprites were different in the GBA game. It was similar but that was about it I believe.

Yeah, the gameplay was similar to the SNES version, but everything else was different. Had none of the previous characters, though there was a guy who claimed he was Falcon's son.

The alt track for that stage in the 3DS version has been shown to appear in Port Town Aero Drive, so its all but jossed. I wanted it too :/

Does anybody know if there are any remix Pikmin songs for the Garden of Hope stage? As far as I know, the only remix song (not counting songs returning from Brawl) is the Stage Select.

perfect layouts are no way to determine the stage number. The grid for the character selection screen in the wii u version is a total mess, why would the stage screen be any different?

The textures look JUST like Great Cave Offensive. However, it is correct, I can't find that exact position. I thought it was the circular looking hole in the upper left of GCO, but that hole is actually something else.


Music-wise, we're still missing staple tracks that have been in the past two Smash games for DK. There's several other tracks that are also still missing, too.

Flatzone X is basically Flatzone 2 with Flatzone 1 screen. Unless there's new screens as well.

It has all the Flatzone 2 transformations as well as a new transformation for the layout of Flatzone 1.
I'm guessing the X in Flatzone X is supposed to show a Flatzone crossover of sorts.

Hope one of them is Dragon Roost Island. (Because no Wind Waker is really sad. They extra put a Wind Waker Edition for Wii U, so we really neeed this stage.

I like the idea of Flatzone X, honestly. Sure, it's a "new" stage, like Battlefield is a new stage, but it's better than 2 almost identical stages. Yes, you, Smashville (and I love Animal Crossing...)

Btw, I've heard another thing: not to expect too much, and there's only 6 unlockable stages (meaning we know all stages). It is possible there are two stages left, which would go in the second row and on the bottom row, but I'm not getting my hopes up for it. However, if there ARE two left, then I'd bet for sure one's a DK stage.

DK stage. You're forgetting a DK stage. Its actually Mario, DK, Retro, or "new franchise" really.

I'm pretty sure we've got all the main game stages. When Miiverse is released, a "DLC" tab will be added for new stages. That's likely where some of the missing music will come in.

The guy on GameFAQs mentioned "two stages were accidentally revealed before review copies were sent out", and then added "there's still two left." There's also two more, the officially confirmed ones: Pac-Land and Duck Hunt.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to Kongo Jungle and either Smashville or Pokemon Stadium 2. Its possible he wasn't aware all three were leaked. At this point I don't think we have any more stages, but you guys are free to believe there are more if you wish. I definitely think we'll be getting a lot more stages as DLC later, though.

Really, the thing that is bugging me about this is that even if this does decrease the number of spots on the SSS, one decent stage and one bad stage is still better then 1 bad stage. :/
