Sooooooo want the Tower of Guidance as a stage for the Wii U version...

Here's a screenshot of someone playing on a modded stage based on the Tower of Guidance. It doesn't looks so great in this shot because it is a mod...

Another Radiant Dawn stage they could use is the top of the Tower, where the goddess Ashera was fought.

Or, they could use the Great Bridge from both Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn.

If R.O.B returns, I'd love for there to be a Gyromite stage.

Also, Pushmo Park would make an awesome 3DS stage.

I vote not Chemical Plant.
This. Chemical Plant is a memorable level, but it isn't that good. It's way overused.

I'm of the opinion that Sonic and Mega Man's stages will be identical on the 3DS, and that we just haven't seen them yet because that'd be too anticlimactic to show before release.

If I could pick any location, though, I'd go with a revamped Green Hill Zone. Yeah, it's overused, but it's among the most iconic locations in video game history, and I'd like to play on a version of the stage that isn't awful (Brawl) or a mod (Project M).

Green Hill is not just iconic in its own right, either. Nearly every Sonic game has a generic forest level of similar design early on. Green Hill represents the type, the era AND the iconic level.

Not having green hill in the game would be a big shock, to me atleast.

If this song doesn't play in the elite 4 stage I will be mad. I hope this song is played on some stage... This is the best Pokemon song I've ever heard.

I would like to see Dodongo's cavern as a stage.

You fight on the middle platform and the 2 on the sides rises like they do in the game. And maybe after some time the mouth in the background can open up and do something.

Grima's back as a stage. Because fighting on an evil Cthulhu Demon Dragon's Back would be amazing. Especially if there's a fight between the Shepards and the Grimleal in the background.

A mod of that exists where the screen cuts off before the outer edges, making the moving pillars the furthest out platforms. They can drop into the lava entirely or raise past the upper blast zone, with several positions in between. In the highest, they can KO those standing on them or simply act as temporary walls. It's a really interesting stage gimmick and I would love to see it for real.

Let's have a Final Destination version of Final Destination.

But seriously though I honestly feel like a Final Destination version of Battlefield is a little unnecessary.

It may seem so, but from a technical standpoint, it probably was (relatively) easy to implement. It's the exact same stage without the platforms, meaning all that was needed to be done was to remove the platform's graphics and functionality.

It's like the dev team went the "why not?" route, or at least, it's what I think.

Actually they had to make it slightly longer too, and extended small, thin platforms off of either side.

I'm really expecting at least one new Earthbound stage, i would be disappointed if that isn't the case, plus i bet that Onett will return for the 3DS version.

I don't know what it is about the stage that Sakurai revealed today, but for whatever reason I consider one of the most visually appealing stages revealed so far.

I just can't stop looking at it, I guess I didn't realize how much I like Super Mario Bros. U's art style.

I like this new stage; reminds me of a simplified Pokemon Stadium.
Almost certainly tournament legal, as well, from the look of it. Too many stages so far have looked too wacky for me, but this is a welcome addition.

Yeah, this stage is definitely one I would like to see become competitively viable, unfortunately D1 has already passed his judgment:

From his twitter:
"Hey guys, new stage! So many platforms. So many opportunities to platform camp... #BANNED" :ohwell:

BUT, it of course remains to be seen if this will be officially banned by the competitive community as a whole (a verdict we won't know until Smash 4's release).

Going back to the stage, one of the issues I do see with it is the fact that the face platforms (for lack of a better term) don't look like they are passable (able to jump/fall through them) and might act similar to the face platforms on the Yoshi's Island stage in Melee wherein they can act completely transparent (no ground to stand on) when hit.

Viable or not, I'll probably still play on it because it looks both fun and beautiful to me.

I Agree. This Stage and Windy Hill are beautiful stages

Looks interesting and, if they are Yoshi style blocks that means you can shoot them out from under people with projectiles, no?
It looks quite extreme for a tournament stage but I see nothing that would make it ban worthy.

EDIT: The two modes are different sizes, what happens if a player is on the edge of the main platform during the changeover?

I wouldn't be surprised if they do with this stage what they did with the Castle Siege stage in Brawl where they had a sort of "bridge section" (not an actual bridge) that was that gray space that was flat with no platforms that was used to sort of "pass the time" between the three different variants of that stage. Perhaps when Kamek casts his spell to change the stage there will be a few seconds to get situated before transitioning completely so characters who are on the outer edges of the stage on one of the different layouts won't simply be dropped into space if the stage switches to a layout where there isn't a platform where that player is standing?

I think casino night zone would be agood sonic stage for the 3ds version, it would contrast visually to other stages in the game with the neon lights and all, it could also have pinball themes to it and add the slot machine.

There are many different casino zones in the Sonic series and so, as one of the most common stage types, I'd certainly agree that a casino zone of some variety would be a worthy inclusion, albeit not over the greenery stage.

But isn't windy hill the "greenery" stage?

Why does there have to be a grassland? We already have one in the 3D Land stage, and on the Wii U, there's Windy Hill. I really don't see the need for more grasslands, especially over something like a casino stage.

As for the competitive viability of this stage, we'd have to wait to see the other transformations. Also, we don't know how much damage the urchin does.
