I'm sorry for making such a stupid thread, I didn't think it would be so unpopular. Personally, I am quite anxious for SSB64 to come out on Virtual Console.

How about meowkitty just stickies this so we don't have so many of the threads coming up. It seems like every time one of them dies, a new one is reborn. Just sticky this so it's on the top page and us regulars can ignore it :)

On my 5th 4 Loko and still ****** you.
Wouldn't the transition from 64 controller to GC controller be hard? The C-stick would have to be used for jumps, and Z trigger for Z cancelling? If this is released on VC hopefully Nintendo will go about changing the controls to accommodate GC and the multiple Wii setups.

Earth, right?
Doesn't matter to me, i still own the first one :chuckle:...yeah but since there's no announcement you should probably get it for an emulator on your computer...lot of people have that

X and Y are already programed as c buttons for vc games so you could easily jump with those. Since I already have ssb64 on my wii from wad hacking I'll give you the controls that are different.

GCN Controller
___

L = Shield
R = Grab
Z = Taunt
X and Y = Jump
All C Buttons = Jump

Everything else = Same

There's a hacked virtual console version? Can you go into detail on this? I have Wii Homebrew and Wii64, but the emulator runs games very poorly and SSB64 runs at an severely reduced framerate with very low picture quality.

Yes there is a hacked vc version and no we can't give you detail on it because it's highly illegal.

Yep. No one played Super Mario 64 and Zelda Ocarina of Time for the n64. No one played Super Metroid and Street Fighter 2 Turbo either!

Nah Killa, dumb choice. You see, making SSB64 online would take man power. They have the source, yes, but programming it in would take programmers, and those programmers want money. Not only that, you only have to look around to see all the kiddies who think Brawl > 64, and since Nintendo <3 $$$, it's just not going to happen.

The only upside is discouraging some of the online peeps from emulation. That's the only upside for them. Also, it wouldn't have chat or any of that pretty stuff. And WFC sucks.

And Killa, if you were joking, feel free to mock me in many humiliating ways.

I am very interested in that hacked version of SSB64 on VC, but since I think it requires the Ocarina hack [whcih Ninty might brick], and I have no SD card, I got nothing. So I'll wait, but I should have never sold my delicious SSB64.

I was thinking of letting someone respond, but...fine.

I don't think so as you need motivation to make and there's no point with Kaillera and P2P already existing.

I didn't read this entire thread (I'm too lazy), but with the WAD installer for Wii homebrew (I'd suggest using the Homebrew Channel), you can install the game by downloading it (a link is on Youtube, search SSBB64 on Virtual Console) and installing it using the Wii homebrew channel. Simple as that! Research on your own for more info. I'd suggest wiiso.com!

I hope it comes out soon enough... and even then, the transistion of controllers might pose a problem for some..... eh, I could manage it. I own at the Gamecube Controller, so I'm sure it won't pose that much of a problem for me.
