round cactus was pretty well known a few years back on /v/, i think round 2010/2011. he was notorious for his leaks and ability to string people along. needless to say, but they were all fake, proven wrong in time. of course, this could very well be another person using his name and using that notoriety for a joke, which seems the most likely.

I was believing it for a bit, then I got to Team Flare. Then it got worse at Saki Amamiya. Then I groaned at X, Warriors of Light, and threw up a little bit in my mouth at Hatsune Miku.

4chan is occasionally right, but have never been so in regards to Smash. Furthermore, Nintendo Directs are so close to Nintendo, it's impossible for them to leak. If anything, it'll be a slip up on their own part, like the European Nintendo Twitter account posting Rosalina a few minutes before the Direct started.

If it were for the anniversary, it would have been stated. He was not announced to coincide with an anniversary, sorry.

This! Same with Lucario, it wasn't even in the same day but people assumed anniversaries because Sakurai said it was hard work to add him in Brawl. People in general have been REALLY bad at text comprehension regarding this game in general. Like when Sakurai said they would try to add everybody if possible and said sorry if someone is left behind, a lot of kids somehow assumed that meant 15/20 characters were confirmed to be cut.

4chan was the only one to have someone leak the majority of the game heck 4 chan leaked greninja but then some random said he made it(which was a repeat of gen 5's starters) but thats besides the point 4chan does occaisonaly get leaks that are real

Meta Knight and Wario are cut. Sakurai wouldn't do that. Both of them were featured in Brawl's first trailers and were on the box art. Wario is basically confirmed anyway with Waluigi and Ashely as ATs. Meta Knight is one of Sakurai's babies blah blah blah dedede...

Hatsune Miku is an instant no.

Warriors of Light? *Googles* Hmm... I can't pass judgement on that. Don't really know enough about it.

Team Flare seems unlikely.

Zebesians are mooks. That's like making a Koopa or Dry Bones playable. Nope.

Masked Man is unlikely, especially since Mother 3 is still Japan exclusive. No way Mother will get 3 reps anyway (more than Kirby on there.)

Saki, Mii, Sable and Chrom are fair picks, though Chrom/Lucina would be the obvious dual character and not Chrom/Robin

Also, I've got a buddy who works for Nintendo. He's a jack*** and knows I'm really hyped for this direct and have me some really vague information.
-2 newcomers will be revealed (ones apparently really cool and a bunch of be direct is spent on this character)
-3 veterans (2 with changes)
-there's no specific release date, just a "Winter 2013" (friend disinterest actually tell me what it was
-some explanations of already revealed characters
-a crap ton of gameplay, including some of a different game mode (maybe Team or adventure?)
Thats all he told me, but as I said before, he's a jack*** so he might just be screwing with me.

I don't think his friend is the only jack***...

His vagueness kills it really. Not to mention easily guessable.

I can't even tell if I would be fine with any of this because of its vagueness.
