To think that when (if) Chrom gets accounted and his facial structure/model is a take-off from the leak makes me a bit anxious.

If that leak is considered live, we sure could have some sleuths from this thread to investigate the leaker. Maybe just updating the leak spoiler might be fine.

I can appreciate a nicely done fake leak. The Chrom one, as w/ the Nester one keeps the threads jumpin even when you know it's fake. It's just fun to speculate while we wait for new information about the game. I'm not expecting any new character announcements until the next Nintendo Direct though. Placing bets on a retro character.

He just admitted it's fake. Even if he hadn't, the terrible shading and multitude of inconsistencies are multiplied tenfold in the hi-def image. Pretty good fake though, considering what we've seen previously.

Ah, so it's fake. If I could meet the guy that made it I would give him a big hug. You only see "leakers" who aren't attention seeking and willing to let people know that they constructed a fake leak (Early at that) every blue moon. Big props to the guy that made it, he's got a lot of skill to make a Wii U leak look even slightly real; and even more props to admitting it was fake earlier (I think he also mentioned it's because he saw that we were still arguing whether it was real or not; what joke leaker does that?).

The guy posted the original photoshopped picture as well as the room it was in. It's him and he's already said it's fake.

This Chrom leak just shows how gullible people can get when there hasn't been a character confirmation in a while.

I'm actually surprised at the lengths some people went to try and make a case for it being real.

Well I'm sure with this Chrom leak being such a legit looking fake that it only means the Palutena leak could be a legit looking fake as well. It puts into question the authority of the Palutena leak. That plus the staffs are different sizes on the stage statue and leak.

Finding a fake makes a pattern not. This fake simply wasn't of the same quality as the Palutena leak - we still haven't found any definitive proof. In the Chrom shot alone there was numerous shading issues, background inconsistencies, pose similarities, etc. and we found all that in one day. Palutena has defied deconfirmation for months. I hardly think this provides any solid pattern at all.

Edit: Totally agree, picture leaks are fantastic. Great fun to pick apart and try to find weight for/disprove. Better than a written leak we can only work hypothetical whys/why nots on until a PoTD deconfirms them.

I air more on the side of it being real, but the fact that it's an off-screen shot rather than an image itself makes it impossible to verify entirely. It could well be an extremely convincing fake, but having lasted so long I doubt it now. Either way, the Palutena leak had a lot more going for it than Chrom ever did, though it was another fantastic fake.

Let's hope for more picture leaks!

Hey, I'm with you. I enjoyed Other M, primarily for its story-based drive rather than the gameplay. That could be me accepting lesser gameplay in return for a good plot, but hell, I was Into it
