I remember back when Lady Palutena was first leaked that you said you were a good leak buster.
...and I completely backed up my talk by debunking that one, didn't I?
1) The context of the picture hurts this leak. It's quite clearly a Western household, and the photographer is clearly an avid gamer. Why would anyone in the West, specifically someone of his/her ilk, have a Wii U test copy? And why in Hades would they post it on April Fool's Day? Additionally, they are covering a section of the screen with their politely-placed finger. And speaking of that finger--does it even want the photo to be taken seriously? Oh, and we must clearly take this leaker as malevolent; not only is he flipping us off, but he's also only showing one picture when it's clear that he should have the potential to show many more. Additionally, why would he not show us something more concrete to cement his leak if he has access to the game and wants to be taken seriously?
2) Chrom appears very similar to Marth. This is, in part, understandable. Chrom IS Marth's heir, after all. Even so, it also leaves it open to faking. The entire face (save the hair) could easily be Marth's face, with some minor edits. Keep in mind; for the Palutena leak, there was only two days between the new Mario model being shown and the leak itself; this leaker would have had months to make edits.
3) Other things that really get me are the background and a few trivial details. The background is really, really simple. If he had wanted us to believe it, he would have chosen a different stage. Also, I'm not entirely buying the neckline or hair; both seem off to me. They're not faults that are major and they may not be faults at all, but they do make me suspicious.
Temporary Summary: I'm not entirely sold, but I'm not ruling it out. Looks like my goal of not falling or any pranks on April Fool's Day had been broken... Actually, it's still intact because it's not even April yet.
