Hey guys, I'm back. I couldn't find my old thread; Went back thirty pages or so and gave up when it was still threads from March, so if anyone has the link, I'd appreciate you posting it for others who may be curious. Anyways, the other day I became privy to the bit more information that I said I'd look into.

Although Little Mac is in the game, Mii isn't. I'm still not sure about Pac-Man.

In addition to the newcomers I previously listed, a Ray model will be playable. I'm not sure which one, since it wasn't specified which game it was from (Or possibly even a new one? I can dream). He's "kind of like Megaman, with an emphasis on air-game." Personally, I think this sounds pretty badass! I can't wait to see what he's like for myself

Tingle is in the game in some capacity. This could mean AT, this could mean playable, this could mean stage hazard, I honestly don't know. Make of it what you will.

I didn't get much of a chance to ask about anything else. I'll try, but I can make absolutely no promises. I'm pretty doubtful I'll learn anything about the remaining newcomers especially. And although this is mostly heresay on my part (and someone I know, by proxy), keep it in the back of your minds.

Well, he is limited on what he can say and can't. But things he shared with us is
- new system to prevent ultra shortcuts

- ssb4 number of characters ( I think it was real )
- and indrift

Only question I asked is if there was a shortcut that broke the game will you patch it he said yes.
The SSB4 number of characters is where it gets interesting. So far we have 24 characters confirmed for Smash, the exact same amount as MK8...
We know Smash is missing a lot of veterans and (maybe) more newcomers so MK8 still have more characters to reveal too

He [my source] said 48 characters for smash ( it could change ) also he mentions 4 characters are cut from smash also no release date.

I really want to know what reason they would have for cutting Sheik other than relevancy. Hate when gamesi n a series do **** like this. 2 games should be a well established place holder. I get ZSS [Kinda.], I get them cutting ROB, I'd get them cutting Lucas and Ike.

He is popular, yeah. ^^ But if four characters HAD to be cut, I fear that Ike would be the most likely one. Since he, and a lot of his moveset, can easily be moved to Chrom, which is the most likely new FE character.

Sakurai could have a different priority list than what we perceive...potentially Toon Link was the first character made.

Toon Link's inclusion doesn't prove anything. We have no clue how Sakurai planned out the characters this time around, he could've easily thought Toon Link to be more important and moved him up or had him finished by the time but didn't have another few characters done and they fell to the wayside. To assume no cuts just based on one character is completely fallacious, particularly since we have had characters we didn't expect to get booted have that happen over others before, like Mewtwo.

I forgot which rumor this was (or I don't think it had a special name people call it) but it was talked about earlier. The leaker called Takamaru "High Round" or something. That rumor had 48 characters on it, I think.

Regarding this new rumor, I do believe 48 is the number of characters this time around.

As for the four cut veterans, I would have to go with Lucas, Snake, Wolf, and Ike.

If there are four cuts including Transformations, it's probably Charizard, Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Snake.

Lucas and Wolf being clones actually means they're easier to implement, and thus less likely to be cut. Ike and ROB have original movesets and will likely stay and if anyone thinks Jigglypuff is getting cut, they're ****ing delusional.

Yeah. I have my doubts about ROB. He really fits in that niche for odd characters like game and watch. I can see Wolf getting the axe if they don't feel like making him more unique. I'd rather not see Snake go. I really hope he's still in the game but who knows.

Sakurai: Tripping is a good idea. I'll just add that to Smash Bros. My priorities are definitely not completely wrong.
Sakurai: Clones are awesome. I'm going to keep adding them to my game because my priorities are not completely wrong.

Sakurai, while a genius, is not a sane man.

Wolf is a Sakurai favorite, and is one of very few villains. He has an almost completely unique moveset so it wouldn't make a lick of sense to cut him.
