To get this a bit of topic I am going to discuss the rumor that every trailer hints towards another character rumor. I have always thought this but never bothered to go in depth. They did this with x and y so why not smash bros? Anyway my views are:

E3 Trailer: tom nook(most likely an assist though) or little mac.

Mega Man's: Hard to say it could be anyone or no one at all.

Wii fit trainer's: Again same as mega mann's

Rosalina: This is a stretch but waddle dee. The trailer focuses a great deal on Kirby when that wasn't really necessary. Anyway Kirby was the first character to show us that stage, months in advance. Also the trailer takes place in space and the background is very similar to the final world's in Kirby's return to dreamland which is in space. Waddle dee is the only one left from that game that has yet to be in this, so this is a slight possibility. Thoughts?

Whoops, for little mac's trailer I have say either ridley or by the smallest subtlety( I spell this right?) wonder red. Also I don't think that bowser jr is in mega man's trailer.

So, my question is, do you guys think Sakurai will reveal more unexpected characters?

Most likely, but I had Rosalina pinned as the newcomer from day, so it's not that unlikely.

Nah, besides K. Rool and Ridley, the other 3 characters have inclined me that they are in the game as playable.

Have their been any leaks that say Ridley will be revealed as a stage hazard, then later on as playable (aka Toon Link/Alfonzo all over again)? For some reason I think I've heard of that somewhere.

Anyways, if Ridley were to be in the game, with his high demand I can see him being the VERY LAST character announced.

And leak wise...I see nothing new. I keep seeing the same Palutena :\. How else can we keep this thread alive? every other leak is pathetic trash...

Hi, new here. I don't care who is in Smash Bros, as long as I see the people I want the most *cough*LadyPalutena*cough*.
But I actually kinda can't see Ridley. To represent Metroid, I'd prefer one of the Metroid Prime Hunters more than Ridley. Ridley COULD be scaled down, but it'd be weird. He already appeared large in a Smash game, and is most likely the stage hazard for Pyrosphere. And it'd not like they could put Kraid in Pyrosphere, it's RIDLEY'S arena.
The reason characters like Bowser, who are depicted large in most main series Mario games, is because in the sports games, kart games, party games, etc., he's depicted as normal-sized, making him canonical to his size.

This sounds like a GameFAQs argument against Ridley. . . This is also off topic. Whether he's plausible in your mind's eye or not doesn't matter here. The leaks matter.

Concerning the possibility of leaks mentioning Ridley being a hazard until you play as him on the stage: I haven't seen any in this thread, and I lurk this place often. Perhaps they were on another site and you peeps didn't post it?

Hmm, the leakage seems slow around here right now. If only we had a Ridley picture similar in quality to the Palutena one. Now THAT would be interesting.

The only "leak" in the OP that could debunk tomorrow if we get a character to celebrate Tropical Freeze North American release (having doubts since Sakurai hasn't done North American releases yet) is GaeozHero. His Diddy Kong prediction sounds possible but the Tetris character think sounds like an original character and no doubt bull crap (plus I severely doubt we'll get THREE characters in one month).

I Believe there's a much bigger chance that Ridley will be playable than not, but nah, not a fan of betting.

I think pac man seems legit. Of course namco wants one of their characters in the game. It's not like Kuma or Heihachi are going to join smash. As for anyone else I don't think so.

That is true, but for all we know, the dates for revealed stuff aren't Always set in stone. If this sound guy it legit, the reveal he said may have been true at the time he Heard it. I don't Believe him, but I wouldn't say we put rumors on 'dead' for faulty reveals. ^^
