One problem with the Ness image is the shadow. The shadows on the other characters get dark in the middle. Ness's doesn't. It's the same and lighter than the others.

Hey, so on the subject of that Ness "leak," do you guys think, if it is in fact legitimate, that Ness will be one of the next veterans revealed? Because, the way I see it, if Ness is not one of the next characters revealed, that means he will have been leaked out of the blue. That's an exciting prospect when you consider that, if it could happen to him, it could happen to any playable character on the roster.

Not really considering that's his Japanese name. The default costume used in Super Smash Bros. is based on the Japanese model, so naturally having that text labeled on the base was going to happen.

Actually there are quite a few differences from this model to the Brawl one. Like his head is looking directly out at us, while in the Brawl one he's looking a little off to the side. The texturing is a lot more detailed and some features are bigger, like his arms. Also, the chord in the back is missing. Besides, I feel like there's not much they can do with ROB, considering he's such a stiff figure. (that's what she said?)

I wasn't talking about the render, but the model itself. The arms don't seem all that much bigger to me when taking perspective into account. The cord is missing, that's true though. It's still just a minor edit of the Brawl one. Plus, those rocket boost glows are super cheap, 2 paint brush patterns of different colors > smudge > outer glow. Not to mention the litle beep on top of his head. The eyes are cool though.

I don't think this image is supposed to create rumors as much as it might just be simple fanart, otherwise it really isn't convincing in the slightest.

Yeah, no, that one 'aint real. There a lot of things off with the render, most of which have already been stated by others. The biggest one for me is the lack of a shadow. Even though he is flying, characters such as Link and Fox who are above the ground still have a shadow. It was the first thing that jumped at me, and it looks very incomplete with it.

It's still a nice picture nonetheless. Loving the eyes. ~

The red means that part of the rumour was proven false. The rumour stated that Little Mac was supposed to be revealed at E3, but as we all know, he wasn't, which means that part of the rumour is false.

This doesn't mean that Little Mac has been deconfirmed for the game, just that the person who 'leaked' him was wrong. ~

I also need to fix the color calibration in my computer monitor because he did come out too saturated.

I simply went to http://www.models-resource.com/ to download the model of ROB..
reworked the texture with some scratches.. etc.
made some normals for bumpmapping etc. with crazy bump.. http://www.crazybump.com/
used this site to upload it.. http://p3d.in

Then I used photoshop.
I grabbed Bowsers background shot.. http://www.smashbros.com/us/images/character/koopa/main.png
Reason? It has the letters ROB.. and I am not a font expert to know which font to use.
I took screen grabs from the model from http://p3d.in just body and head angle.
