SSB4 Rumours and Leaks

This leak could be real, I mean the Translator Leak said Palutena was playable, and he was right about the Ashley Assist. The only thing that bothers me is in the 2nd photo, her right cheek (its on the left when you look at it) has a few pixels that look wrong. Almost like the image was cut in there. Other than that it pretty much looks alright to me. I was also wondering if anyone found it odd that the orb on her staff isn't outlined.

im sure you also remember how jaggy dededes gloves were when he was revealed "the game is still in development and the things you see are subject to change" this basicly means if it looks wrong it wont when the game is actually out

Well, the first one is the one that seems weird to me.

Mainly because the outline is inconsistent throughout the model, and, most importantly, inconsistent with Mario. Also, her proportions are strange and don't match up with the second image. Also, she's in her standard pose that she's usually seen in, so that detracts from it's plausibility somewhat.

I think the problem is this one uses the Brawl model, instead of the Uprising.

Also, there's the fact that the floatiing symbol behind her (don't know it's actual name) looks kinda like it was an image of it but sheared. Then again, that may be because it's flat.

The second image, however, is absolutely fantastic. The shading, the outline, the unique pose...all right on the money.
I don't see it any problems with it other than the context (which couldn't be ascertained from the image by itself)
Another thing I like about the second one is that it's just got Palutena, no other characters. Many phony leaks try too
hard by picturing the characters with other characters, leaving it open to ridicule by comparing the two.

It's also focused right on the console, which it good, since it makes no sense when leaks are wobbly weird side snapshots.

Both of the images are huge, which is a good sign because camera snapshots are generally over 1500x1500 in size. So if it's not a snapshot, then they were really clever in making them that big.

Actually, I can't dig up enough dirt on this one. The Mario is only slightly different than a certain frame on the Developer Direct, so I think we can say that it may have been ripped and touched up. However, the background and Palutena are far more complicated. Palutena's facial structure is pretty altered from her normal appearance, suggesting mock-ups beyond the power of a normal faker. Also, she seems to share certain elements, such as her staff, with her Brawl model, but draws influence from Uprising as well. As for the background... it could be a zoomed in version of one of the pics, but the angle is a bit different and the bushes are out of alignment. The background would have also taken some serious photoshopping...yet I'm not seeing any blatant traces of photoshopping, save perhaps the staff clipping through her hand.

I'm not entirely sold on it, as I've seen some convincing fakes in my day. But... I'm inclined to believe that this one is real. Palutena supporters, proceed as if she isn't confirmed... but I think you can sleep a bit more comfortably tonight.

I think that's best. Though at the end, Palutena was someone we all were betting our money on since Medusa getting the boot in Uprising for Hades. And much, much more.

So indeed, we shall wait. This seems though something we can lean on as some lucky charm for some while until proven either right or wrong.

All I have to say is that it's either an absolutely incredible fake, or a legit leak (just can't tell). We might even find out soon since this has blown up over the internet. Unlike those other "leaks," Nintendo will definitely hear about this. If it's fake, they might just come out right away and say that these specific pics are fake (even if she's really in the game).

There won't be console-exclusive characters. If there are, that would mean Sakurai lied and there is no interaction between the two versions.

Well, the clipping is obvious, it's natural in a 3D game. It's what got us Kirbamus. Mario is easy as well, it's just his idle animation. So it could be a coincidence.
Really, this is not a half bed leak. For all I know this could be false, but let's see on that. Hopefully we'll get more info.

Hmmmm. It's not the most obvious oversight... But I have hard time this is a fake right off the bat due that. Much like NikoMar said, could be perhaps clipping.

But like we said, we shouldn't treat these as real until proven otherwise.

Alright so I saw this last night wasn't sure what I thought of it, looked great but im not the best at eyeing these screenshots. after reading everything people have said about it and everything thats been pointed out im adding this to my leaks i think are legit.

am i stupid or am i the only one who sees her thumb which has an outline around it infront of the staff which has no outline thus making this not so inconsistant when you see the outline is just going around her thumb

EDIT now that i look harder isnt her staff the same color as her outline

Does anyone have a link to the source of this? Something tells me that the leaker didn't create these images if any of them are actually leaks.

I thought this too. It would be simply insulting to make her an Assist if not Pit's Final Smash.

She is the second most likely representative for the KI series. Hades and Medusa come close in third. She is by no means Assist trophy material, Magnus yes, but Palutena is playable material.
