Ya'll remember that ****post I made that intricately detailed what I thought the 2018 Super Smash Bros Halloween Party was like on the General Discussion thread? Well, I forgot to do another one for a Thanksgiving Party (it never came up, sadly), so I'm going to do it here instead... I'll do the Christmas and New Years parties later.
Ahem...
Once again, Master Hand is hosting, and has ordered catering from a handful of restaurants. The Thanksgiving Turkey, due to the size of it, had to be a collaborative effort between everyone with fire abilities (
off of the top of my head). Despite everyone trying to explain that Thanksgiving Dinners don't normally have cakes,
baked one anyway. Everyone pretty much rolled with it, because she makes a damn good cake and no one in their right mind was going to say no to that.
In addition to the 70+ fighters, everyone was allowed to bring with them one guest. Master Hand dreaded this decision, as it meant
would probably be bringing Tharja, but
and
threatened to no-show unless Ken's wife got to tag along, and Master Hand wasn't willing to call their bluffs.
Due to how many people would be attending, Master Hand arranged for the party to be held at a mansion that the Fire Emblem crew have been using as a timeshare since Brawl. Indeed, you may recognize part of this mansion as
.
The party was divided into eight rooms. At the true middle of the party was where all the food is kept at; this room was chosen as it connects to other seven. "Behind" this was the media room; two couches with their backs to eachother, both facing two televisions on opposite sides of the room; one having a football game on (I don't know who was playing), one for playing Smash 4. This room also had a table for board games and a table for folks to hold Pokemon TCG friendlies.
At the left and right sides of the party floor were six rooms of various types that were all repurposed into dining rooms.
The Kids Room: the back-left dining room, reserved for
as well as M!
, F!
and any
s attending the party. This room was chosen for the kids as it allowed ease of access into the media room. M!
was kept in charge of preventing
Lucas from going anywhere near alcohol "the adults from bringing alcohol into the room," and
pretty much stationed herself in this room to ensure the
s didn't get too out of hand. Luckily, unlike the Halloween party, nothing particularly egregious occurred save for the very end of the party.
The "Bloods" (a nickname Master Hand came up with to describe the purpose of the room while still keeping the context vague) Room: the middle-left dining room, reserved for
. This room was chosen to keep its occupants as far away from the "crips" room as possible. As an added precaution, extra television sets were placed in both rooms to mitigate the two groups interacting in the media room, although in this room it was pretty much just glorified background noises as Zelda offered to set up a D&D session for the group and they pretty much stuck to that for the most part.
The "All-Stars" or "Master" Room: the front-left room, reserved for Master Hand,
, and a couple
s. Referred to by the other fighters as the "Boring Boardroom Meeting Room" where the occupants were busy discussing potential DLC characters. Not much exciting happened here aside from
accidentally making an extremely lewd joke that everyone in the room laughed at (except Master Hand, who lost the will to live at precisely that moment).
The "Casual" or "Crazy" Room: the back-right room, reserved for Crazy Hand,
. This room was chosen as it allowed its occupants ease of access into the media room. Although for the most part non-alcoholic, this room was certainly the most lively of the bunch by design, as Master Hand knew its occupants where all individuals who either would undoubtedly find a way to get under Master Hand's nerves (
and
with their... everything,
's 90's humor,
&
's memes and pranks, and
... honestly, she and Master Hand have
never gotten along for some reason), or would be in good company with said individuals. Thanks to Crazy Hand bringing Cards Against Humanity and a few other similar games, the guests of this room were kept occupied for the duration of the party enough to not cause Master Hand trouble (although a few jokes/comments did manage to tick off
in the next-door room more then once).
The "Crips" (a nickname Master Hand came up with to describe the purpose of the room while still keeping the context vague) Room: the middle-right dining room, reserved for
. This room was chosen to keep its occupants as far away from the "bloods" room as possible. As an added precaution, extra television sets were placed in both rooms to mitigate the two groups interacting in the media room, although in this room it was pretty much just glorified background noise, as Olimar and Mr. G&W managed to find a Pool Table for Wolf and Simon Belmont to set up.
The Vice-Friendly Room: the front-right dining room, technically reserved for
, but everyone except for the kids are allowed in this room. It's the only room in the party where alcohol is accessible, the only room where people are not required to keep an eye on their drinks (although all the participants did so anyway because
is
literally right ****ing there), and is the only room where narcotics of any sort were allowed (although only
was the only one participating in such activities, doing so much to the chagrin of
's nose and the Street Fighter guests).
were all special cases. Master Hand, because he knew they'd probably just devour everything, arranged to prepare an entirely separate-but-nearly-identical thanksgiving feast on the above floor reserved for Kirby and King Dedede (as well as their guests, the Animal Buddies and Bandana Dee) themselves, preventing them from eating
literally everything downstairs.
volunteered with watching over the kids, but was allowed to eat at any of the other rooms if she so desired.
was basically given free reign to eat, hang out, and do whatever wherever she pleased. Samus, not wanting to bother anyone at the party, simply took some food and relaxed in one of the upper floors.
No attempt was made to even bother inviting
, because Master Hand knew that he'd probably just try to kill everyone.
It took slightly less then an hour for everyone to show up, with Master Hand,
,
, and
being the first to arrive, while
,
and
were the last to arrive. Catering, on the other hand, took an entire hour and a half for everything to arrive. Those who wanted food from
Pizza Dog (warning: link contains explicit language that has NOT aged well) were unfortunately left disappointed as the Pizza from there never arrived, due to the place that Master Hand ordered catering from-- along with its manager, The Grinch --was engulfed in a fireball explosion by Banjo & Kazooie. Luckily, they also ordered from Mona Pizza's.
Until the food arrived and was ready, Sandbag was put in charge of bringing snacks to everyone in the various rooms, a task which Sandbag took great pride in as they weren't able to attend the Halloween Party. Folks from the Kids and Casual Room went in-and-out of the Media Room as they pleased. For the most part, Master Hand was able to avoid the Star Fox and Zelda casts getting into arguments like they did at the Halloween Party.
Once the food arrived, the party for the most part calmed down (with
keeping an eye on
for good measure).
After most people were done eating, the Kids began migrating into the Media room to start up a Pokemon TCG Singles and Doubles Mini-tournament, the former ended with
curbstomping
because "oh wow, a Dark-type deck user going up against a Psychic-type deck user? Gee, I wonder who has the advantage here /s," and doubles ended with the
s narrowly beating
and
. The folks from the Casual Room, not pleased with
being the fun police earlier, came over and switched the television on their side from football to an LP of Bayonetta, then let Duck Hunt Dog eat the remote's batteries just to spite the Belmont.
Later into the evening, they decided to run a couple Smash Melee and Smash 4 tournaments using both televisions (Master Hand was able to find AA batteries to replace the ones
ate). All was going well, until around some point at the end of the last tournament held (a Smash 4 singles. the final round was between
as
vs.
as
), people had lost track of where
. By the time someone took notice (
), the party was abruptly cut short by Dark Samus attempting to set
on fire.
The building was immediately evacuated, and Dark Samus was promptly given a violent thrashing by
,
,
,
and a
VERY livid Viridi. On the bright side,
was made a quick recovery in the emergency room... although he is still furious about what happened.
