Know what would make it epic?

Have an extra bonus where Battlefield and FD are playable. Possibly even the Metal Mario stage.
no need for VC editing..

Options > GameShark Codes(cheats) > select metal mario stage > DONE.

Battlefield sucks because the platforms are too high compared to the other stages. It ruins some characters.

Fd sucks because its flat.

Metal Mario stage is cool because of the music.

BattleField also has killer edges >_<

Stages like FD are too good for high tier chars, while low tier chars would suffer

Yeah np np just lemme have my compy finished, and download all the stuff.
Also I'd need to get a USB converter thing for a GC controller.

Also, I'd have to get good lol.

I might be playing online in the summer maybe.

Serious? Link and Samus would **** with their projectiles.
Samus would **** with their projectiles.
Samus **** with projectiles.
No.

Also, Final Destination would further unbalance SSB64 and make it as unbalanced as melee. You'd be forced to approach all Foxes as they all would SHDL the whole **** time. Characters like Falcon, Fox, and Pika would have ridiculous combos and easy as hell edgeguarding. All while characters like DK lose the ability to combo AT ALL.

Yeah. Just what the low tiers need.

But then, Final Destination would be a counterpick stage wouldn't it? Pretty much, counterpick stages are the ones with character disbalance, right?

But...everyone would demand it neutral anyways. -_-

I never said it's needed...merely, it is. :p

Merely an option if the top tier wants a more guaranteed win. :p

Mario is not top tier and he might like it. :p

But, character skill, is not everything. Character character, means something...BUT NOT AS MUCH AS BARWL!

It's an option if a the top tier wants an even better chance of winning, therefore, MORE guaranteed.

but that's why they pick top tiers, more guaranteed win anyways.
this is why I like games like Street fighter, where they don't have different stages lol.,

I got it with homebrew channel and the commands with GC pad are disturbing. What used to be done with Z is now done with R, L with Z, and R with L. Why did they do that. Even melee works the same as 64

I don't doubt that there are multiple versions.

Even still, mine is confusing, since on my 360 controller, the front buttons are L and R, and both back triggers are Z [using a macro so I can have two Z Buttons]. So I have to get accustomed, but the version I have on the Wii isn't bad at all.

I already have it on my Wii thanks to the Homebrew Channel. Now all I need is an N64>GC adapter. As much as I love the Cube controller, I'd rather play Smash 64 with the good ol' N64 controller :)

Also, why is Nintendo releasing Smash 64 now of all times? I mean, why wouldn't they release it just prior to Brawl? Seriously, logic is just NOT THERE. They released Super Metroid before Prime 3, they released Mario 3 before Galaxy...

**** em. Thanks homebrew channel =)

Honestly they probably did that so there would be a lesser demand for online smash64...

Since I doubt there'll be any decent online for this version, I don't see the demand for online Smash64 going down ;)

It's not the demand im talking about...its the mass public.

Most people who play Brawl, honestly dont KNOW about Smash64...the message needs to get out there!

If nintendo put Smash64 online, via VC you can bet a large amount of online Brawlers would come to play Smash64, and eventually quit Brawl

I'd rather have them keep playing Barwl and whine about how "broken" and "unfair" is Metaknight than comming to SSB64 to do exactly the same about Kirby and/or Pikachu.

Also after watching how "awesome" Wifi brawl turned out, you can rest asured that if SSB64 on VC gets Online it'll be just as "good" as Brawl's

I would gladly see c-sticking in 64. It'll make my fights a lot easier. :D
how would the C-Stick help exactly? troubles with air attacks? O_o

In Melee the only time i use C-Stick is for Quick smashes...and Falcon...dunno why but he seems to work better with C-Stick xO

And JaimeHR...you're sadly right D:

Somewhat, yes. And for quick smashes, too. I used to get tired of using A all the time for smashes. When I discovered the c-stick on Melee, I was relieved! My left thumb felt like heaven! But, eventually, my right thumb started throbbing. lol

Well, as was said...in Smash64 you cannot charge a smash attack so you'll always have quick smashes anyways ^^

Well, I can't remember 64 that well; it's been years since I've played it. And I don't have the Hombrew Channel, so... :/

But technically, they all play Brawl cause it's easy. Since 64 is harder, those more prone to whine about Kirby/Pikachu will be forced out by peeps.

o wait, didn't work with Melee. And agreed about "awesome" Brawl WiFi, indeed.

C-Stick was best for certain Melee techs, and aerials. SHFFLc Uair is MUCH easier with C-Stick. And, it's less work to flick the C-Stick.
