Yeah people exist primarily to please themselves, a morbid thought, and it's easy to envision a world in which that isn't true.

I can sympathize with him too. People disappoint me very often. I dislike them, I hate them. Yet I need a specific person who's part of 'them'. It's pretty much the same for me, you and him. We are all egocentric and self-centered... We befriend people that we see ourselves into. I understand his post. But as I stated earlier, none of what he says regarding his feelings are true. He's angry, sad, upset or disappointed. But he surely is not apathetic to all this.

Anyway, read Candide by Voltaire. The chapter on El Dorado. That should give you a rough indication of what Utopia is, although the term Utopia itself is subjective.

I mean Fred Phelps' and Adolf Hitlers' Utopia is a different concept to say, Michael Moore's Utopia.
