So I moved to the US and I left my Wii U in my home country so my sisters had something to play with when they're bored. It wouldn't make sense to have my Wii U here since I'm buying the Switch when it comes out. Also, my cousins, who I'm living with right now, have a Wii U and Smash, so it didn't really matter.

I bought a Nintendo eShop Card to buy Mewtwo in their console because they have no DLC at all.

Their console is banned from the Wii U eShop.

Pokebank's updated and we get access to Mew's Z-Move (does the glitch in GRBY still work in the VC versions?). Time to start catching them all again.

If anyone needs help with the National Dex feel free to tag me.

I never picked up my Magearna, but I scanned the QR code. I just tried to get it, but it looks like I can't. All I'm able to get is the Mewnium Z. I think a just got screwed out of my Magearna by a glitch or something. Gosh darnnit.

Edit: I just doubled checked Serebii, and apparently you don't actually get Magearna from the Pokecenter. Nevermind.

I don't even remember my sister's birthday off the top of my head, let alone my Smash main.

...I feel like a horrible person.

Mew glitch still works. You just can't transfer it to bank unless it has the same OT and ID as an event and is at the correct level.

So, you guys seen Shulk's victory pose where he leans his head towards the Monado, grips it and says "I can change the future"?
For some reason, it looks to me that he is praying for a moment so when he does that I always like to imagine him saying "Thank you Jesus for this blade!" instead. It's just funnier to me.

Do you guys ever practice footstooling? And if so, how do you do so?

I suppose that the ideal way is to practice against a dummy set on player, however I only have access to the 3DS version of Smash, where the option of player does not exist in training mode so you have to use standing instead. This annoys me for several reasons: every time you launch the computer into the air, they will always drift away from you in a certain direction as if to dodge your next move and that includes avoiding your footstool. Sure, in an actual match, your opponent is going to DI but because of the psychic AI they know where to drift in order to evade you. So if for example I want to practice Lucas's infamous throw to footstool reset combo for the sake of getting used to it, the AI will always read your inputs even after getting footstooled and drift away from you making it awkward to follow up. I know that it's doable but I suck at getting footstools in midair and would like for once to get used to it first in a more relaxed manner.

They will DI into the center of the stage. so you can read their DI. Other then that, I just practice on dummies.

What ever happened to that chaingrabbing thing Sonicninja found? It worked on like fast-fallers on Smashville but nothing ever came of it. Was it too situational?

Note: All credit goes to PG l Zan and 2GG l Bam.

I'm doing a more in-depth vid on it soon. But the jist of it is that you have to grab someone on the SV PF. It is just a bit too situational. But if the time arises, I'm sure top level M2's are ready to throw out the tech.

It's been crazy this two months. My computer is in the shop so I haven't been able to use the internet in a while. Also, I'm finally graduating from studying abroad, and in June I'll be going back home where I belong. 4 years of hard work and some moments of solitude finally payed off, so I'm excited to be able to go back and see my friends and family once more.
Once I've established myself, I'll eventually buy a Switch after a hardware revision and a price cut (since that is how Nintendo rolls). Don't have a Wii U and don't know if I should get one, but there are tons of games there I want to play there, including Smash for Wii U. I might drop that decision if they port some of its other games to the Switch and if the rumored Smash 4 Switch port turns out to be true.

Just bought my copy of FE Echoes. Very excited to try it out.

By the way, anyone has a switch? If two people have two switches and both consoles have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, can they play wirelessly like a 3DS would?

Edit: http://nintendotoday.com/mario-kart-8-deluxe-lan-play/

"Nintendo has included a lot of different ways to interact in multiplayer with your friends, including:

  • Up to four friends can play on a single Nintendo Switch console in TV mode, or in tabletop mode by using the stand at the back of the console and placing it on a flat surface
  • Online multiplayer makes a return, allowing for up to two local racers to get involved in 12-player races with others around the world
  • Through Wireless Play, multiple Nintendo Switch consoles can be connected to each other, allowing up to eight people to play together in the same room
  • Up to 12 consoles in TV mode can be connected via LAN Play, with one or two players per connected Nintendo Switch"
Well, I guess this answers my question. Nice!

Finally got around to filling in some of the numbers for the Match Up thread. We actually got a lot farther than the vast majority of the character boards. Only the Peach match up didn't spark any discussion.

If someone wants to make a summary of what's discussed in the Discord to help fill in the blanks that would be really helpful. Stuff I marked with * I think need further analysis.

The Mario one is a problem, actually there's a lot of wrong with that.

Thank you for doing this. I hope that I can help with some numbers on some lesser used characters. Can I also be authorized to chat since I want to talk about the Mewtwo vs Peach MU.

How so? It was one of the earlier matches discussed, so the buffs M2 received may have changed a couple things (I don't remember the exact release date).

You mean in the Discord? I think you have to join and ask the owner/mods there. Otherwise feel free to have at it in this thread: https://smashboards.com/threads/match-up-discussion-peach.440242/

If it was one of the earlier matches discussed, shouldn't it be changed? Same with Pikachu, ZSS, Sonic, and MM.

This MU spread is much better anyways

Well this is kind of cool. One of the anime animators has put up a test animation focusing on the climax from Sun/Moon. It's not really a hint or anything for upcoming episodes, but it is a nice piece of fan service.

EDIT: Does anyone even pay attention to the anime anymore? I've been really on-off due to the new direction the Sun/Moon saga is going in as well as Gen 7 as a whole.

I do still watch the TV series, even though I never did get into the 7th generation games.

Anyways, uh, Smash 4 port for Switch, do you guys think it will happen or not? I was initially positive that it would come, but as time passes by I grow more unsure.

It's more because they want to focus on games like ARMS, Splatoon 2, Pokken DX, etc. A Smash for Switch reveal would kill all of that for them.
