But something bothers me though. In the trailer, they showed mewtwo going down throw to up smash and he slid. I was under the impression DACUS was patched.
Every character still slides a little when you dash and up-smash. Maybe not every, but I noticed that quite a lot of characters still slide a little bit. DACUS is gone.

I really hope Disable can hit opponents from behind this time around. That would basically make it the best tech chase move in the game, and it would thus be extremely helpful to Mewtwo's metagame. However, knowing Sakurai, I honestly don't think that its very likely, and that's fine by me. Disable already looks to be massively buffed, and the whole eye-to-eye contact thing is pretty cool and actually makes a lot of sense. Given how much better Disable already seems to be, I'm not going to throw a hissy fit if Disable doesn't stun from behind.

Given how incredibly useful Mewtwo's @ U-Throw U-Throw and B-Throw were in Melee, I find it highly unlikely that they were nerfed in any serious way. Mewtwo's D-Throw, likewise, is also unlikely to be nerfed, as it was very useful for starting combos. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if his D-Throw was buffed. As for his F-Throw, I'm rather certain that the devs are going to make sure that it's useful this time around. It was pathetic in Melee, so it really stood out from Mewtwo's other three fantastical throws. My best guess is that his F-Throw can no longer be DIed out of, and it probably has a reliable amount of damage output based on the victim's percentage. I think that would actually be the best course of action for Mewtwo's F-Throw, because doing so completes Mewtwo's throws' usefulness. You have the B-Throw for horizontal kills and for getting the opponents off stage, his @ U-Throw U-Throw for vertical kills/kills in general, his D-Throw for a varied combo starter, an his F-Throw for reliably racking up damage. Doing that would make Mewtwo the ultimate throwing machine, indisputably the best in the game, since his throws cover every area. I'd love to see that happen, especially since Mewtwo's throws are his strong suit.
To make Mewtwo not a good throw character would be to remove the thing that he was all about to begin with. They should only improve his throw game in the new Smash. Anything less would be an insult to him and his fans.

This is exactly what I want. And if Disable stuns nice enough to set-up those beautiful grabs, we are in some serious business. His mobility and seemingly improved speed should be a benefit to getting grabs as well. He really seems like he's got the makings of a coherent archetype and useful toolset for this game and it's physics.

No kidding. Throws are Mewtwo, Mewtwo are throws. It was Mewtwo's main selling gameplay point in Melee. It was what made Mewtwo in Smash... well, Mewtwo in Smash. If Sakurai nerfed his throws I would be severely dissapointed.

?Elaborate please
In Melee, Captain Falcon's side-B, Raptor Boost, was generally used as a combo extender. Since combos didn't exist in Brawl, it was used for damage (even though he sucked in Brawl). Now in the wonderful days of Smash 4, it was randomly made into a kill move, reliably killing at around 120%+ (and in my opinion, it's the easiest kill move to land disregarding Ness' B-throw)

someone make it clear: whats dacus?
Dash Attack Cancelled Up Smash. It was in Melee, Brawl, and PM. It was in Smash 4 for the first few months until Sakurai patched it out. It basically does what its name says... you cancel your dash attack into an upsmash. It's really good because you slide very far and upsmash.

Mewtwo's up smash seemed to kill Doctor Mario and Little Mac very easily, despite the down throw not sending them too far. It's clear that down throw has very little knockback scaling. The question is how much base knockback it has. It could be like Luigi's down throw, with almost no base knockback, which would allow for very easy combos, or it could have a lot of base knockback. If it's the latter, then his down throw will always send opponents about the same distance, making combos more difficult.

It's a similar situation for his up throw. We don't know how good of a kill move it'll be since we haven't seen what knockback it would deal at varying percents. It could be like Jigglypuff's up throw, which has a lot of base knockback, but can't kill because of its lack of knockback growth. I would be surprised if this was the case, though. We'll probably have awesome throws.

Mewtwo's Up Throw was always his #1 KO option...how could they possibly take that from him without upsetting all of the people who used to play with him? Come on now...

"Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U Mewtwo Tournament"

...yes.
Alright, thanks. I asked because some people or networks like to group them together as one game and not two different platforms.

You know, Mewtwo truly is the grapple character in the Smash series.
I mean, seriously...when it comes to Mewtwo, the last thing you want is to caught up in his grab and slammed by his multitude of options. He could opt for damage with his F-throw, combo you with his D-throw, or flat up KO you with ease with his B-throw or Up-Throw. :3
Not only that, his Confusion special allows a multitude of follow ups from various other attacks...that is, if it works properly.

In fact...
here's his Melee character description:
"Mewtwo is definitely not a speedy character, but its ESP-powered grab and throw moves are comparatively strong."
This is why I like Mewtwo so much. I just love to throw in fighting games (probably because Dead or Alive was my first and I main Hayabusa in the series) and Mewtwo's grab game is just superb in Smash. Unfortunately, that's pretty much all he had in Melee, but Project M and Smash 4 have made improvements to Mewtwo's other aspects so that I can spam use grabs better and more often! :b:

My main method of fighting in Smash is relying on grabs to form combos or KO.
...and yes, you can thank Mewtwo for that. ^_-

Impressive Mewtwo tournament flyer, very nice!

Mewtwo's throws seemed the most psychic thing about him, I absolutely loved 'em!

That was the plan.
And irony.
That's the joke, hehe. :p

No kidding. I get too predictable with my grabs sometimes... whenever I wanna punish something I just grab. I grab too much, it's a bad habit. I'm glad Mewtwo is there because his grabs and throws are OP which kinda fits my playstyle.

When people think Psychic, Telekinesis is one of the very first things to come to... mind.
