I'd be surprised if he was included mainly out of confusion that they would hype him up. When they say "surprised and unexpected" they specified that it's because people wouldn't expect them to be put in Smash. You know what I mean? They were like... not characters "ANYONE" would expect to be added to Smash Bros... which seems extremely like it's all 100% 3rd Party characters that aren't characters people think "Nintendo" when they see. Whereas Geno, again, is Nintendo in most people's minds.
Builders I havent played a whole lot of, but it's like a blend of Minecraft with 2D Zelda with the DQ aesthetic. If that sounds appealing then go for it, it's quite fun.

You know, if true, that really gets my hopes up for Nintendo and Atlus to try a crossover again, this time making it much more Persona based and including the whole of the Nintendo pantheon rather than just focusing on FE. I would say not nearly as much as any FF game ever gets.

is near 100% in on.Persona's enhanced ports are traditionally on Playstation handhelds (1-3 on PSP and 4 on Vita)... but Sony doesn't have an actively supported handheld now. So the Switch is their next option, obviously. It was more or less inevitable lolWait a minute. P5R is a Switch exclusive?! For real?
That is unbelievable, given what I have seen of Persona's history on Playstation platforms.

Eight is one of my favorite designs for DQ protagonists, it's a simple but distinct and cool look. I hope he gets in as an alt at least too.
I am pretty sure we are just going to be getting the fem design for Erdrick. It's what Smash usually does when it comes to this sort of thing.
I mean, there discussion of having XI too as an alt, so it might be possible to get an amalgamation like Bowser.Jr

One of the "random" characters is the protagonist of XI which isn't a weird choice at all considering Sakurai has a story of adding new and old characters, the other (Anlucia) seems to be a major character from X but cannot say mcuh considering that X is Japan-only. Still agree that the second one seem to be a strange choice overall.

Ryce pretty much tells it like it is. DLC is a whole new beast and so far, no insiders have gotten it right or on a confirmed go.
Anlucia, to my knowledge, is the closest character to a main protagonist in the traditional sense for DQX. Kind of like Alphinaud in Final Fantasy XIV.

Technically, what people generally see as the likely DLC route is not an entirely new beast, when it's roughly the same as Smash 4's DLC direction, minus Corrin and the veterans.
If by that, you mean mainly unpredicted by leakers, then yeah, sure.
I agree in that 8 is probably the most well known one in the west, but the way Sakurai seems to roll is to add characters that are classic with ones that are newer. Best scenario would be to have alts for most of the protagonists.
I really don't know much about her honestly other than seeing some videos of her as a boss or something, hope that the offline version of X becomes a reality since I doubt SE will bring the current one.
