It plays a little like it, but to call it Brawl 2 is just crazy at the moment. So many things are different.

Once Sonic got enough of those Speed boosts it looked suuuuuper fun lol, like a Sonic game but where your attacks are slow for some reason. Wanted to see more down-B across the stage, just to make it look more like Sonic2.

Also, while 2 of Sonic's Alt colours in the game were along the same format as in Brawl (different tint of blue with coloured cuffs and different coloured shoes), one of them is a white colour pallete - guess we'll call it Winter Sonic

I thought it was "it's no use" Sonic.

Also, the other two aren't as bad as Brawl ones, at least his shoes completely change of colour.

I also noticed that his cuffs are now actually gem bracelets in his alts, as a neat reference to the shape of the Chaos Emeralds:

Granted these aren't all the possible alt colors in the game as little macs wireframe mac costume was missing as well as some palettes that mario used to have. My guess is there are more colors for sonic especially if now teams are represented through just outlining the character blue, red, or green.

Speaking of, why is Sakurai trolling poor Sonic so much? Sure we see fighters getting beat up all the time (that's the point of smash), but Sonic always seems to be getting beaten by being outsped, homing attack foiled, KO uppercut forcing him to use Sonic Boom design, etc. etc

I hate being reminded that Sonic, as an anthropomorphic hedgehog, technically falls into the "furry" category.

I legitimately forget because I just look at Sonic and think he's cool and forget that he's anything other than Sonic.

The Term 'Furry' is mainly used as an online insult towards Anthropomorphic haters.
