Feels good to have the entire Sonic game library as OSTs. Labyrinth's music is so bad.

Soundtracks on iPod: Sonics 2, 3, Knuckles, both 3Ds, Adventure, half of Adventure 2, Heroes, a chunk of Shadow, chunk of 06, all handheld platformers minus Advance, 1/3 of Unleashed, Colors, all of Generations, and five songs from Lost World.

Special mention to Sonic Mega Collection's Extra theme and unused Credits theme.

All about Starlight Zone. Sure I heard a very subtle remix a long time ago with a bit of sax in it but I've not been able to find it since.

If we're talking a whole game that's difficult. SA2 has to be up there, especially with knuxs levels, so G. Sonic generations did do very well with its music.

Hidden? It was in the soundtrack you plebs. :applejack:
I meant hidden as in it's not really a main theme for anything. It's a co-op song from S3&K and a Mission song from Generations... I've had the Generations OST for a long time and god knows I barely bothered with missions in Generations, and in my OST it's just listed as like "Mission #5" so it's not an obvious one.

I also have a physical copy of the SA2B OST, but besides Generations I digitally have the Genesis Sonics, Colors, and Lost World. I want to get more, especially Sonic Rush.

Fool. You must know every song by heart. Even if they are titled Mission X. :applejack:

I personally prefered ZG over it in just about every way possible. Apart from the stupid level system. When I pick a Speed type I want to grind. I dont want to work for that grind every. ****ing. Race.

What was different about grinding in ZG? Never played it.

I only played the first sonic riders as well. I had a perfect game, gold on all missions.... I cant remember any of the songs.

Also I know its a stretch but if you have guys ever played Jet Moto 2? There is a very similar level to the Dimension stage in Sonic Riders. You know that heaven and hell motif.

Zero Gravity was such a huge downgrade from Riders though. As far as the mechanics go. :applejack:

I thought the choose your path mechanic for riders was pretty cool. You know the ramp jumping thing as well as the choosing your style.

Hey but we all know that Sonic Free Riders has the BEST MECHANICS EVER!!!

Speaking of soundtracks my copy of the smash bros soundtrack came in the mail yesterday. Anyone else get there's?

Don't get me wrong, it's great (awesome workout music yay) but I'm really disappointed with the utter lack of any sonic tracks. It's his 2nd smash bros, come on Ninty.

Same. I'll rip it eventually.

Sonic getting shafted is no surprise at this point. They didn't even update his victory theme.

On the topic of music, my favorite Sonic track is tied between Rush and Generations. Rush was actually the first official Sonic platformer I played and I loved the groovy themes in the music and general design. Generations on the other hand just mixes everything else great about Sonic music and puts it in one game/soundtrack, so that ranks equally as high.

I'm really digging the Sonic Runners soundtrack btw. Lava Mountain and the boss battle music are my definite faves from that.

Really? That's interesting... Rush was certainly great so I suppose it's as good of a game as any to start with.

But that makes me beg the question, what was the first unofficial Sonic platformer you've played... lol

That would be Ultimate Flash Sonic lol. My friend in middle school was a big Sonic fan and he showed me this game during recess one time. I got Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, the found Sonic Rush after that.

My history with Sonic is odd lol.

My first game that I remember playing was Sonic 2, think I had one on master system but was too young to remember. As a result its probably my favourite Sonic game. I've owned every Sonic game apart from a few of the handhelds. And black knight, cos secret rings was dickhole.

I may have said this before, but Sonic and the Secret Rings was a turning point for me, and because of that, it is my least favorite Sonic game ever.

After being just completely underwhelmed and frustrated by Secret Rings, I refused to buy Black Knight, thus marking the first time I didn't buy a main console Sonic game.

Sonic '06 gets harped on for being a mess, but I at least got some enjoyment out of it. I was also a little younger and perhaps more forgiving of its flaws at the time, though. Secret Rings just forced me to be like, "Maybe I won't keep buying Sonic games…" Unleashed got me really excited though, and unfortunately let me down because you know why. Fortunately, that paved the way for Colors and Generations.

Still refuse to buy any of the Boom games.

I fortunately grew up with every Genesis Sonic game and played them chronologically so... Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles master race.

Handheld Sonic is surprisingly consistent. All the Advance games were great, and Rush is one my favorite Sonic games ever. During a time of really bad console Sonic, Rush was the diamond in the rough.

I heard it was better than Secret Rings.

I didn't buy it based off principle, though.

It's not like you missed much. It was good though. Plus it gave me this:
The Sonaze and SonAmy shipping fuel was fierce in game though. :applejack:

Forgot that Crush 40 even did a mix on that song:

There can be nothing else for me. In my opinion they haven't topped this version of "It Doesn't Matter" yet. As for level music?

It wasn't my favorite song in Sonic Adventure 2 until this remake of it in Generations happened. As for favorite boss music?

Look no further if you want an epic final battle soundtrack.

I'm in the rare minority that thinks that Radical Highway in Generations was actually a downgrade from the original soundtrack. :applejack:

Cama it wasnt so much the grinding in ZG that was terrible, the mechanics were, you had to pick up a certain amount of rings before you could grind, punch **** or fly. It was so dumb.

**** Generations Radical Highway. The remixes came from a synthesizers ass.

Hm... Guess I'm glad I didn't play Zero Gravity then.

I too actually prefer the original Radical Highway... But for the most part I loved a lot of the remixes in that game. I thought Cash Cash did some great work.

Also, I will admit that the Final Boss remix is amazing. I loved the original, and I thought the remix (despite having intense Power Rangers vibes) was really great.

I have the Black Knight game but I never played it. I assumed it was half baked like secret rings. I'll have to give it a shot.

Radical highway is a pretty good song. The remix is cool but I wouldn't say I like it more than the OG.

That's because you're ten. :applejack:
I don't understand the logic. Are old people supposed to dislike the remix? Vice versa wouldn't make sense chronologically. Or are oldies supposed to dislike radical highway?

Also SA2 came out when I was in middle school... That was over 10 years ago...

I would also like to mention that I beat SA2B with all A Ranks. Thank You Very Much.
