The mayor got off with only a broken and burnt arm, but Bon Bon had 3rd degree burns over his entire body...tragically, he died of his wounds mere days later...but promised the mayor that he would return, one hundred years later from that very day. In his own words, "I'll come back...just like my candles."...spoken just before his eyes sank into his skull, his corpse taken to the graveyard to be buried as he never uttered another word, never to celebrate a party as a mortal again. Bon Bon was dead, but not gone...not forever...

...So goes the story of Bon Bon the Birthday Clown. None of those 14 original founders of the town lived to see his return, but we will!
