-At some point while she was younger, she met a monster by chance and struck up a friendship with him. Her mother discovered them, mistook the monster as hostile, and attacked him. The young Eclipsa was left in tears because of her mother's actions-

-Even still, Eclipsa and this monster would continue to meet in secret over the years. Eventually, their friendship developed into true love. Eclipsa kept this, too, a secret from her mother and all of Mewni-

-Prior to this, she had apparently dated many other monsters as well, even making various notes in the Magic Book of Spells of which ones she favored up until falling in love with her childhood monster friend-

And even beyond the skewers, there are lava pits on both ends of the arena-

...Okay, he's not as annoying or mean. But we're still in for a dangerous boss fight!
