Yeah, I think there's more to this picture. The fact that Floating Array and her rocket boots are gone might suggest otherwise, but those probably weren't considered part of her body even as a robot.

Exactly. She only kept what was necessary. If she is still a robot, though, losing the weapons and such is a good way to throw viewers off track.

Penny more or less watched herself die... She seemed at ease once it was done, at least, but yikes. The scene looked like something out of the Terminator.

I think Ambrosius' crafting is leading to something that'll be... more than just a robot.

Penny is just one big Pinnochio reference, and this episode just makes it even clearer because she seems to be a real girl now based on how she feels about hugs, but the robot stuff is just too badass to give up on, so it might still be there. Maybe it's a "Semblance" now?

The Pope says it's time to purify them... When suddenly attacks from both arrows and swords rain on him, destroying his barrier, for once his smile changes to an expression of shock-

-Itsuki and Ren descend down the crater, and once there Ren does a technique called Thousand Swords, which sends plenty of mana-made swords to rain towards the Pope, who blocked them, but this time looked annoyed, and tells a priest to have half of their devotees dedicate to keep the barrier, the priest asks if he's sure as it would take of the weapon away he says that it should take time for them to do their techniques, and that's time they should use to pray to God for forgiveness, as Itsuki fires shots that are blocked-

-Motoyasu asked them how they are alive, Ren revealed that they investigated the Church of the Three Heroes and found out about the weapons replica from their secret archives and its location. However, they were lured to a trap and almost died, but they were saved by some of the Queen's Shadows-

-With that said, Itsuki believes the Church claimed his reward for killing that one town's tyrant ruler and the blame was pinned on Naofumi, while Motoyasu says that woah he always gets himself in trouble. Understandably he's exasperated at how they don't realize their faults-

-Ren and Itsuki coordinate, the former runs to the Pope who shoots flames at him that he dodged, as the latter uses Meteor Shot to break the barrier again, which followed by Ren using Meteor Slash on the weapon, and it drew plenty of mana out of it-

Itsuki tries to say that else that town would still be in bad hands, Naofumi tells him that the answer can't always be killing, as Melty finished her spell and he tells her to do it on Raphtalia and Filo too-

-He says the mess they're in is their fault for allowing the Church of the Three Heroes just do as they please. Itsuki says "well what have you been doing then?!" to which Raphtalia bluntly says cleaning up their messes. Filo goes on saying he always complains on them because how irresponsible they are. Ren admits his fault, but Motoyasu defelects his on the other two, making him and Itsuki argue, but Ren tells him too that if he didn't allow himself to be bossed by Malty, he wouldn't have as much fault. He still tries to deflect his fault saying they should focus on the attack and the troubles the two cause Naofumi-

-Naofumi tells him he has done plenty of trouble himself, reminding him of that seed and telling it overrode that town, Motoyasu said that he only did it because they needed food, Naofumi says that the town did have some fault for listening blindly since they did have legend about a dangerous crop... But that it's also a sign of how much people trust the Heroes. The three have allowed their welcomes get to their heads, like in the last wave even before Glass arrived, they were losing an easy fight as they were thinking just about themselves instead of working together-
