biiiiiiiig difference between being disrespectful out of dislike and disrespectful out of defense. if statements about a player's poor decisions in smash can make him erupt and start yakking about not getting laid, being idiots, should go kill themselves, etcetc...then yeah, i will thenceforth have 0 respect in my speech.

just know that i tried with studstill. i really tried, for weeks, and he degenerated into this. i don't see a reason to be nice anymore.

You don't have to be nice, but you don't have to keep putting yourself in positions to be mean. You don't have to skype call him. You don't have to play him online. You don't have to complain about him on the boards. You don't have to recognize any posts he makes or words he says. You don't have to try and get everyone on your side and 'win'. You also don't have to walk away and you can continue what you and a small few others have been doing for weeks.

i don't skype call him. for a long time, i deliberately avoided being placed in a skype call where he was. people added him to my calls and vice versa. i also don't really play him online, cuz when i do, i body him - and after i said ggs, he said "meh gs." aka SALT (which i found to be ironic, because he posted that silly kaillera thing).

BUT the complaints that i do have, i feel, are legitimate (d&d, trashing the community, snapping on anyone with a different opinion, poorly thought out reasonings for meta stuff, etc).

for instance - that tourney to be hosted for apex. i already said i do think travel and lodging for the winner is great. but not qualifying for bracket placement. this means that if you are a console-only player, you have missed out on the opportunity to get a better seed. IE if killer wins, he earns qualifier points and can be placed above someone like kero, maybe, or w/e.

the point is: you need equality with something like that. you can't offer spots into bracket (which, by the way, are not yours/stud's to offer [and i'm not saying you're involved in the decision making, just making an assumption]) to online players but not console players. and you can't offer spots just where **** is really populated. you know what i mean? stick to perks of travel + lodging.

Maybe Studstill is being a 10 on disrespect, maybe you are being a 4. Maybe you are being a 10 and maybe he is being a 4. I never listed in order of disrespect and I never said one was better, worse, or the same. Interpret it as you wish but if you are looking to defend yourself and claim innocence then you've lost my respect.

Maybe you should realize that studstill was constantly asking to be put on stream. He wanted his tourney matches to be streamed. He wanted to get people to commentate on his games. As a natural step over commentating studstill's games, we happened to point out the poor usages of kirby's upB and how a different move was the better option. Studstill then got irrationally mad over this and started insulting the commentators (us). Then after his tournament matches with knitephox he kept wanting to do rotation friendlies on stream. As this happened, studstill consistently bombarded us with insults. After the entire 2 hours of streaming was over, I noticed there was a 36 minute segment where the insults came nonstop.

At that point I had a decision to make. Sure, I could be the "better man". I could just walk away and do nothing about this. But you know what? I HAVE been the better man. For several months already. Several months of trying to get him to understand the game's most basic mechanics. Of trying to tell him tips to get along with the community and how to improve at ssb. So many attempts at trying to reason with him without trying to offend him. So many times where I tried to reason with him in a calm manner while he dodged arguments, questions, and just made indirect attacks and passive aggressive comments against me and the community.

My patience ran out bro. I'm done trying to deal with this guy. So yeah, I uploaded this video because I thought it was hilarious (during and after the stream session). I also had a second purpose for the video, to inform anyone what studstill was like and was capable of just in case there was still possibly anyone that was uninformed. So I'm going to lose respect from you? So be it then. I don't need that respect if the only way of keeping it was doing the impossible.

in tla everybody worked hard for ****, and there were certain really cool things only a few people could do (only one person could lightningbend and iroh could only redirect it despite his level of OG). And then metalbending was a very private skill. Bloodbending even more. Only one chick could do it and she could only do it in a full moon after years of trying it on rats and flowers and ****

in this all the cops can metalbend like spiderman for free (and korra learns metalbending within a day of trying it)
some guy bloodbends an entire courtroom full of people when it's not even a full moon whut
spiritbending is kinda dumb
korra bends vines that are strong enough to collapse city buildings. In tla that was a big deal and very weird (with the swampbending guys) but in this it's just like 'oh yeah sure, plot'

some guy can fly now too. But that's actually ok because he was locked in a cage for a couple decades and flight doesn't even matter because the other 3 bendings have already been doing that since s1 when it's convenient for the plot

imo the bloodbending thing in season 1 was cool because it was explained. amon didn't start bloodbending out of nowhere, but yeah everything else is kinda bs.

I feel that blood bending, metal bending, and redirecting lightning were so new in atla that it was really rare for a person to know it. But as the years past and the bending styles got older i would assume more people learnt about them and learned how to do it.

I don't know if you read any of the books that came out like The promise but in one of them

They explain how toph made a metal bending school. So that would cause to the spread if metal bending even when it was just originated in Atla. I would guess by the time lok was made it was a normal bending technique.

Zaheer was put in a maximum white lotus prison before he had bending so once he got it he was so much stronger. He knew his history which really helped his cause when it came to air bending. I think its understandable that he was able to master air bending to the extent of learning to fly.

I'm ok with the metalbending being taught worldwide, but the lightning thing I still don't like. I don't like it how mako can just do it like it's nothing. has anyone else other than mako used that in korra?

bloodbending is different because bloodbending is supposedly illegal worldwide. book 1 finale explained how amon and tarlok learned to bloodbend in the first place, so im cool with that
