Smash Hero
don't get me wrong, i grew up with the 64 controller and i love the thing, but from an entirely objective and nostalgically unmarred perspective, the thing is a monstrosity

this. stop hating on the controller as if it were the worst ever.only 2 things wrong with the n64 controller:
1. Left handle. This whole section is pretty much useless.
2. Stick durability. I guess some complaints about it being rough too.
This controller has some good button placements and is fairly comfortable to hold.
3. One hand way lower than the other in default position. Someone called me OCD for saying this last time but seriously it throws me off. Maybe just because I'm not used to it. But I guess this is caused by the existence of the useless left handle (as well as the general hugeness/clunkiness of the controller), which you addressed.only 2 things wrong with the n64 controller:

I had a PS1 and a Gameboy color when I was a kid.I wonder if I'm like the only one on this thread who wasn't raised with the N64. Anyone else?
depends what you consider "being raised"@Eikelmann I think I've actually literally forgotten that controller lol, I tried to recall it and could only think of the 360 controller. You can tell I was huge on Xbox.

oh, okay. well i was raised on snes and gameboy. i didn't get 64 when it came out lol, took me a while.I was raised on Nintendo games too, just... not the N64. The irony of fate.
That's because I'm the most objective man alive.i find that hard to believe, since you aren't adamant about only 151 pokemon existing \o/
"OoT sucks" would be a novel opinion. "OoT is a great game that isn't the best game ever" would not.the latter
im also a staunch supporter of the notion 'OoT isn't the best game ever'
firstly, i saw this 'sitting in the back being a poncey critique' post coming ten miles away"OoT sucks" would be a novel opinion. "OoT is a great game that isn't the best game ever" would not.
Those people probably don't know what OoT is lolsecondly, 'OoT sucks' is probably the second most common opinion, courtesy of everyone who never grew up with a N64 and is all about graphics and bad cover-based shooters
Eh, consider going back to it sometime. I didn't play it when I was young either, and the first time I played it I didn't make it past Dodongo's Cavern (second dungeon) 'cause I got bored (sue me). But I went back to it and 100% cleared it, and I'd say I enjoyed it second time around.he's not wrong. i never played oot when i was young, tried to play it a few months ago and could barely make it past the prologue.
also picking the best game ever is easy.
fallout 3.
i see your point, but that doesn't invalidate my own pointThose people probably don't know what OoT is lol
brofists all roundP.S. You also said pro wrestling is the best sport so forgive me if I take your opinions on what you think is "best" with a grain of salt![]()
Wasn't criticism. It's just not really an interesting opinion.firstly, i saw this 'sitting in the back being a poncey critique' post coming ten miles away

Gameplay-wise I'd say they are pretty close. However Majora's Mask has the best atmosphere of any Zelda game I've played. MM feels more thematically complex too especially compared to the cookie-cutter story in OoT.anyway, majora's mask > oot, without question
What secrets are you talking about here? I want to know if I missed somethingthere are some secrets that you won't find on your own (without investing 80+ hours or something) and the time factors seems very, very limiting, but it's quite a good game and manages to stay interesting all the way to the end for both casual and completionist players
