There's only 3 characters that represent the Mario universe. Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi. DK doesn't technically count. So that's 3/12 or 1/4th. PRETTY LOW if I say so myself. Let's look at stages now. 3 stages that represent the Mario universe out of 9 so that's like 1/3rd of the stages are from Mario games. 2/3 > 1/3

By looking at this INFO, we can deduce that this in in fact, hardly a Mario game but a
Nintendo game with a bunch of characters from different video game universes that fight each other on stages that represent different game universes within the NINTENDO REALM (when was the last time Mario DUKED IT OUT with Fox in Mario Party?).

SSB is OBVIOUSLY a mario game, but not why tank says so. The title is "Super Smash Bros." which is pronounced 'Super Smash Brothers" by the announcer at the intro. Now, only two of the members of the cast are brothers. Who? That's right, Mario and Luigi. So clearly Mario and Luigi are the Super Smash Brothers, and the rest of the cast are challengers. Unfortunately, as always luigi severely underperforms in this game, causing the smash bros. to be defeated by a pair of rats.

Anyways, if you look at the logos next to your stocks/percent, you can see that DK is from the DK universe and not the Mario universe. I'd say DK is from the Mario universe if he had a Mushroom logo too BUT HE DOESN'T and that's all that matters.

lets do some unofficial statistics. The mario universe has 4 characters in ssb (mario, luigi, yoshi, dk) SOURCE. That is 1/3 of the characters in the game. The mario world has about 20-25 characters suitable for SSB. Does that make up 1/3 all nintendo characters suitable for ssb? No. They even chose to take a relatively minor character like yoshi and put him in the mix instead of including another main character from a different series. They could've put in zelda, falco, any one of the racers in f-zero x, but instead they brought in a minor character from mario. clearly a mario game.

Obvi dk and yoshi don't get mushroom logo's because they are animals, not people. Only the people of the mushroom kingdom get to flaunt it, cuz they the ones that got it.

FE8 was bad. Okay, well it wasn't that bad, but it was nowhere near FE7's caliber. Story was too short and just didn't have the same pizzazz.
