Ahhh you lucky *******. I have shiny celebi. I've wanted the shining for a while now, I'm trying to get all of them. Celebis the only one I dont have acess too.

I hate these stupid stars

lol Life for men is pretty simple. Money and beautiful women, gets lots of it. And then eventually raise kids.

ultra-rares are 4 in 36 packs, not rare at all, but some sets have a stupid number of them so the rate varies once more

secret rares (one every set on average) are one is 72 packs on average

the shining pokemon were 2 in 36 packs iirc, but i didn't really follow the game in that era

psychology is either very interesting or dreadfully boring

most psychologists are talking out of their collective rears or spouting variations of the same base information 'proven' decades ago - those that aren't are progressive and fairly interesting

I just found out about the "Need help with Math" thread over in the pool room.

Was surprised to see ballin did not occupy half of all total posts.

I have several posts in that thread. Haven't been there in a while - just too busy usually. Also it's really close to the Debate Hall - wouldn't want a misclick there!

Why, he doesn't seem THAT mathy. He shouts "HEY GUYZ I DO SPORTS" way more frequently
Have I really? Pretty sure I have more posts here about math (hi dandan) than sports.

I'm a bit down on sports lately anyway. All my tennis partners have gone or don't play anymore, and I've been too busy to play basketball (plus basketball is really tiring and messes up my weightlifting). I just got my squat and deadlift back up to 200lbs after an injury. My bench press is pretty pathetic - sub 135, but I'm working on it.

I guess I still watch college football but that's pretty much it.

what the **** do i do with this

Haha I'm actually grading my college's intro fluids class, they just went over this. This is a pretty general equation, applying it really depends on the situation but I'll do my best.

Basically sum of forces on the fluids is equal to the two integrals on the RHS. For steady state flow (which you should be dealing with no?) the first term is 0 because it includes a d/dt and in steady state, flow doesn't vary with time. For the most part you won't worry about this.

Now look at the second term. It is an intergral over a differential Area, which sounds tough but it ends up just being the values at the exit minus the values at the entrance (bear with me). For example, Vxyz2*rho2*Vxyz2 (dotted) A2 - Vxyz1*rho1*Vxyz1 (dotted) A1 . Now if you're dealing with incompressible flow density is constant, so rho2 = rho1 = rho. Vxyz2 and Vxyz1 are simply velocity vectors at the exit and entrance, respectively. A2 and A1 are vectors normal to the exit and inlet areas (I think in the outward direction? Whatever convention your class is using). Then you just pound out the dot product of Vxyz and A for entrance and exit, do the scalar multiplication and subtraction to find the sum of the forces.

I hope that helps, no guarantee I'll be on to answer more questions tonight sorry man.

don't worry aa

I'm planning on starting a metric revolution from the inside of the country

and Battlecow, if you were the weakest mother****er on earth (me), you wouldn't even know what you could bench because you can't remember the last time you tried

Believe me, I wouldn't, but we have weight training every other day in PE at my ****pile of a school.

Swear to god, I've lost more ***** to that class than to the basketball douchebags and Fynal screaming like a girl at me every time I do a Uair chain during lunch combined.
Note that amount of ***** I should be getting - Fynal screaming like a little girl at smash sessions during lunch - basketball douchebags - Weight training = 0.

Lol, you actually play Smash at school and you call it a ****pile? :awesome:

On the other hand, from what I gather you're forced to do four years of PE. You only need two in high school here.

So would you go as far as to say that you're no longer "ballin4life"?
See definition 2:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ballin

see, i saw 135 and thought 'christ he's tank'

then i realised it was pounds

use metric goddammit
metric is awful. pretty sure this was discussed in debate hall. also you'd think my use of "lbs" in the previous sentence might have tipped you off.

I'm, like, SO American and I think metric is better. Seriously, my American-ness is practically bursting at the seams. And stuff.

No I'm TANK- Actually I only bench like 200lbs (4sets of 11). I can Max 250+, but I work out alone now so I don't wanna be doing any heavy weight- Sux :(

oh and I'm American as ****!

Couldn't resist that urge to talk about myself...

On Mythbusters they use pounds instead of NEWTONS, confused the hell out of me.

Newton would be rolling in his British (and therefore Australian) grave.

because the debate hall isn't filled with biased americans or anything

correction: americans, bob jane and dre
some metric measurements are inconvenient sizes for day to day use. specifically meters. you can't even say how tall someone is without going into the hundreds of centimeters.

kgs are ok though. also i get confused as hell over pints vs cups vs fluid ounces, so that one kinda sucks in the imperial system. and that's not even taking into account random stuff like going to England and being surprised when a pint is like 25% bigger than in the US.

I am 1.86 metres tall.

Well then.

Basically, no one is going to say 'I am xxx centimetres tall', just like no one is going to say, 'I am xx inches tall'. You can use both and it's as easy as saying I am 5 foot 6 inches or something.

yeah you have to break out the decimals to get any precision. because meters are too big and centimeters are too small.

I probably should have asked this way back when I initially changed it, but does anyone know what my avatar is? It cracks me up every time, but I'm not sure if anyone else gets the reference.

it's GRRM, but I'm not sure if that's obvious unless you've seen pictures of the guy recently
