Liberation isn't a canon game. Also even if it was, SMT games almost always take place in different continuities than each other and Persona.

Also, demons in SMT only appear as constructs of human psyche in Persona, they are by no means indicator of same universe. Not to mention Bayonetta and Persona's world building don't really mesh at all.

Nine months later, Dante is fondly recalling the experience when Bayo leaves baby Eva Rose at his doorstep for the weekend while she goes off to hunt angels. And Dante has to take her to Nero’s house because Devil May Cry is..... well, Devil May Cry. And when he admits this to his friends they all laugh profusely at him. Bayo and Jeanne pick up the baby on Monday and give Dante a phat stack of Child Support.

Eva Rose then grows up to be a successful business woman, only occasionally helping her parents fight demons and angels, and having to fend off her father’s constant begging for money.

...But can I just say I hate it when a leaker mixes in speculation with what they have to say? Even if they admit they don't have any sources backing it up, it still adds to the confusion about what's real and what isn't.

This says nothing about Erdrick/Banjos chances, but people are still going to use it a point for Banjo just because this guy is perceived as more "credible".

I hate leakers but I hate those who post fake leaks and don't add in the title that it is fake leak on Youtube that really grind my teeth. Pokemon Youtubers are infamous for doing this kind of thing. It gets peoples hopes up kids espeally and when they are told it isn't real its heart breaking. Speculative Youtubers are just bad for the industry.

Kamiya still holds on to DMC while making Bayonetta and puts in a lot of references to it, going as far as outright saying they’re the same world and making certain connections.

One of the item descriptions in Bayo 1 says it was made by an Umbra Witch named Eva who made a contract with the Demon Lord (meaning that Dante’s mom was an umbra witch who made a contract with Sparda, which would make some sense, despite being bat**** insane).

Luka’s last name is Redgrave, and his father’s name is Antonio (or Tony). Antonio investigated and reported on demons and angels. Kamiya outright said that Dante liked Antonio’s work, which is why he took up the pseudonym of Tony Redgrave.

In one of the Bayo art books (or maybe somewhere else) there’s a drawing of Enzo with Dante at Rodin’s shop.


However, at the end of the day, Kamiya doesn’t own DMC anymore and Capcom hasn’t made any connections to Bayonetta in the DMC games so it’s one-sided for now. I believe both sides have said they’re interested in a crossover so I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens, especially with DMC being a big name again after 5’s success.

For example, Akuma in Tekken is CANON in Tekken and is inextricably tied to the main Mishima plot.

That's actually super cool, and I like the idea of this. Just more insane stuff for this crazy awesome universe.
