Bruhs I’m just over 12 hours into Chrono Trigger and BAH GAWD is it great.

Considering when this game came out, the story is absolutely amazing. The characters are interesting (some more than others), but the main story is just...cool. Like, I don’t remember the last time I had a game with a story that didn’t try too hard to be “cool” with what it was doing, but the mere concept of this game is super cool.

I entirely see why it’s a classic.

Basically, dude runs into a girl he’s never met before at a fair where his friend is going to show off her latest creation. Random girl and dude become fast friends, and when they find out the newest creation is a warp device, the new girl gets warped through time.

It starts out just saving her, but it gets better as the plot moves on. Eventually the main plot is built and the accompanying events are super interesting. I won’t spoil more within a spoiler, but it’s got me really legit excited for what’s coming next. I haven’t had a game that REALLY captivated me like this in a long time.

I’m in the second half now, so I’ve got to be getting closer to the end.

Depressing does NOT equal bad. You don't have to like it, but it doesn't make it automatically bad.

Oh yeah, because singling out a SINGLE joke in an overall tense movie is TOTALLY fair

That doesn't mean it's not intense as a whole.

If you're gonna seriously argue a point, cut the snark. Stop insulting my intelligence, jerk. If you want to call me or my opinion stupid, flat out say it.
It does to me. Honestly, why do you care if I think it’s bad?

Sorry bad habit of mine...-_-

Trying to better myself as it is. Always gonna be setbacks. One thing I should probably try to do is think before I post next time. Can't say I can promise but I'll try.
That's all I ask, really.

Because it's an interesting conversation point and I'm looking for something that'll excite my brain, because pokemon and smash speculation are two things I give literal zero craps about, and they're the dominant two topics on here. This is something different, and I'm finally not bored on here which is a FREAKING miracle because I feel like I have nothing to say half the time anymore.

Out of curiosity, where are you in the game right now?

Fair enough. Still, I've already heard one stalker-murderer story this week, so I'm a little worried regardless.

Ok then. I guess.

Endgame was still trash.

Like... arg. I don’t know.
All those people. There lives are permanently ruined. Wives and husbands and boyfriends and girlfriends, all kinds of relationships are just... permanently gone. All the people who went off the deep end like Hawkeye, or were just severely mentally damaged. Just bringing their loved ones back isn’t going to fix them. Parents who didn’t get to see their children grow up. Children who’s parents just don’t care about them anymore because they moved on. Plus something I hadn’t thought of that Far From Home brought to my attention, all the homeless people. All the people who have no lives because their jobs were filled and their possessions were sold off. And all this happened on thousands of planets all across the universe! What “hero” wouldn’t come to the conclusion that the right thing to do is to wipe the whole thing from history?

I’m sick of this whole “objective quality” thing. It doesn’t exist. It’s just what the majority of people like and dislike. To me, it was a bad movie that brought me down so low that it’s hype moments just had no effect. That’s bad filmmaking in my opinion.
I wanted them to spend like, 5 minutes in blip world instead of a whole third of the movie, and then I wanted them to erase it from history so it just never happened.

But seriously. I don’t want the nicest person here hating me. That just makes me feel like a monster.
I personally enjoy Endgame tremendously, I cried depressing tears when sad things happened and I cried happy tears when exciting things happened. The movie is bitter sweet and it's meant to be.

Also, you said something about the fact that Endgame was depressing was bad writing, but then said you wanted Far From Home to mention the Blip for 5 minutes and then erase it from history, how do you not see that as bad writing? An insane, universe changing event happened, and it may have been "reversed," but there were always going to be consequences that can't be ignored, and it wouldn't make sense to ignore them. I would even argue that life has gone back to a semi-normal state too quickly in FFH, if that the Blip happened in real life I don't know if society would ever recover fully.

Man seems I wasn't the only one who didn't find Endgame underwhelming though I would say IMO it was far from garbage.

Just okay IMO.

On top of the treatment of a certain character. There's also how not much happened during the 1st and 2nd act. I went in expecting some massive epic grand combination of time travel and space adventure only to get that in the 3rd act and final battle while Infinity War was better I thought it was flawed but entertaining never the less.
That should be "seems I wasn't the only one who found Endgame underwhelming," just wanted to help you out with that.

You keep mentioning the "treatment of a certain character," who are you talking about?
The spoiler embargo on Endgame has ended, it's been out for almost 3 months.

Don't forget all the irreversible deaths brought as a result of the Blip such as car and plane crashes or during surgery or on life support.

End of Endgame and Far From Home brushes all that off like it didn't happen.

So guys

I decided that I want to start over with Pokemon Black and White later this year (or starting this weekend after I finish up with everything, including catching the Legendary Pokemon in all of them). Lemme know what you guys think for the rosters since I want to switch some of them up a bit.

Team 1: Samurott, Eelktross, Chandeulure, Sigilyph, Hydreigon, Lilligant

Team 2: Scrafty, Excadrill, Galvantula, Carracosta, Reuniculus, Archeops

Team 3: Zoroark, Beatric, Haxorus, Swoobat, Jelliscent, Mienshao

Team 4: Terrakion, Cofagrigus, Swanna, Volcarona, Stoutland, Beheeyem (there's a reason for Terrakion on this team)

FYI, These are all Pokemon I've yet to use in the games so try to avoid giving me any that I already used (except Stoutland because he's ****ing awesome)

Why? Because they didn't think time travel was possible and never bothered to test it. Too much skepticism until Ant-Man came along.

Thor.

Like I understand he's depressed given what he's loss but they didn't have to make him fat.

They had the power to do that though. They had the power to fix everything. With that gauntlet they could have done literally anything. Hulk could have made a reality where the blip never happened AND Tony still had his damn kid. This whole lingering problem is why I didn’t enjoy Endgame. It’s why I think it’s bad writing. Because it made it so that when Captain America picked up Thor’s ****ing hammer, all I could to was continue to feel sad about all the ruined lives and broken people. The real crime is that it rendered the awesome stuff completely ineffective. That is not how you end a story like that.

So my first night back at work went well. I didn't realized I was literally EXHAUSTED all day and it affected me from focusing on my term paper that's due in a few days. Ugh gonna be a pain

I feel bad for getting aggressive and I apologize for that.

It's not an excuse, but I'm feeling on edge yet again. I feel like a caged animal.

Sometimes I really hate myself. Despite telling you guys I'm bettering myself. I've once again let myself get to better of me again and got snarky again this time towards someone whose a pretty swell guy Hats N' Clogs. I'm 27 years old for crying out loud and I'm still pulling this **** off even after 10 years...Still its no excuse regardless.

I'm still far from bettering myself as a better person here...-_- Then again there will always be setbacks so all I can try is to do better next time. As said next time I should try to think before I act. Someone on another forum suggested this to me on TohoKingdom Forums.

Life's a constant cycle of improvement. I'm in a similar boat in my personal life. :) I suppose something you could try would be to stop and ask yourself "would I say this to myself/my mom/my grandma/my significant other?" before you post something. Doesn't have to be every post, but could help with the ones you otherwise would regret. :)

That's a topic in itself.
and apologies are taboo for you as well

He spent 5 full years drinking beer, playing Fortnite, and never leaving his house. Even for a "god" it wouldn't make sense for him to still be his regular self.
so is fortnite really gonna stay around for 5 years

wont that make it like season 30 or something

I don’t mean with time travel. I mean with the gauntlet. With a single snap of his fingers, Hulj could have made any reality he wants. But he didn’t.
You haven't read any comic books, have you? Because even comic books have depressing and dark moments. Lots of them, in fact.
I read a lot of comics. I’m still relatively new to the whole superhero singles thing, but i’ve Been reading the IDW Ghostbusters books for decades now and believe you me that **** goes down in those books. And I’m currently reading the new Dial H for ahero, Shazam, and Martian Manhunter series. As well as Doomsday Clock. I don’t know about this though. It just.... the depressing aspect led of the story shouldn’t be so big that they detract from the stories enjoyment value. I wish Endgame had at least addressed my concerns. Explained why erasing it from history wasn’t the best option instead of just “iron man had a kid”

It's ok, really. Besides, I need to apologize as well for getting angry as well.

Keep working at it.

I see your point there, actually. I love Endgame, but some time travel/reality stuff is like "um...what?"

SnakeFighter64 SnakeFighter64 I think I see what you mean, but I am sure that depressing moments are something that can be great even in superhero stuff. They can add twists, or depth, or make things interesting. I think you may have to get used to them in stuff like that.
I’m not saying depressing things can’t happen. But I don’t want my superhero movies to trigger my actual depression. The Blip was just... too big.

You have nothing to apologize for. I'm the one who should be. When I came to these boards along with a few others I was quite a condescending prick tbh and for 10 years I've been pulling off this **** when I should had stopped doing so long ago. I have no excuse for this behavior and now that I'm realizing I'm trying to work on it and make amends for everything I did to be a better person.

Plus having made friends over the years on forum sites is another reason for this because last thing I want to do is lose all your respect and friendships...TBH I'm always worried despite being aware and trying to better myself that I'll fail and one day I'll go too far and it'll happen...:(

I will have to admit on my part, I thought the time travel in Endgame kinda, or didn't at all make sense. They could have done it better.
They literally only had it work that way to force the narrative in the direction they wanted it to go. Same goes for changing how the gauntlet works. To the point where it just doesn’t make sense.

I’m definitely excited for Hero this month!
