Apparently there’s a leak going around 4chan that has the character either be downloadable at 10am pst tomorrow morning, or that is when the shadow drop airs.

In that leak, costumes from Dragon Quest, Lloyd Irving, Heihachi, and Byleth (male and female versions) are added.

In addition, a few songs are downloadable for free on Midgar. Not sure what to think, as there are sometimes legit leaks just prior to reveals. But we’ll see.

First thing, it kills Mii Costume Theory. That’s fine by me, despite me being a proponent of the idea. It’ll keep things fresh for a tad longer before Banjo.

Second, Geno isn’t included in that. That’s would be...salt inducing. I can’t imagine why he’d be removed, especially if he isn’t playable.

Hoping the reveal is tonight. We have about 20 minutes to go until anything might start to happen. Reaaaally hoping we see something tonight.

How Noipoi views the idea of an live-action Lilo & Stitch (CGI Stitch is gonna be an abomination that needs to be trenched with fire) is how I view the idea of an live-action Ice Age. I swear if Disney does that...

I would love an animated series on the MonsterVerse tbh.

Given the 1998's GODZILLA got one. One of the best cartoons ever made but even then doesn't compare to Angry Beavers for me.

I mean, I know Smash 4's DLC was primarily RPGs, but 3 of them were cut vets, leaving only two new characters were from RPGs. Having possibly FOUR RPG reps in the DLC sounds pretty poor in variety, ngl.

For the most part I agree. But that might be because I'm simply not a huge RPG fan. I'll admit I'd be bias towards fighting game or platformer characters getting in myself.

Did they actually cancel it? I know most people assumed that, and I thought so too, but I found that they actually delayed it and the Emoji Movie had nothing to do with it.

Though they probably silently canceled it anyway...

Depends on what your definition of "poor in variety" is, because that's something that differs from person to person.

I've never really paid attention to the genre a newcomer comes from, so if we were to get four RPG characters, I probably wouldn't even realize it unless someone pointed it out to me.

Right now, and obviously it’ll be a bit clearer once the next mini-Direct comes and goes, these are the characters I personally think have a decent shot:

Leon Kennedy/Chris Redfield/Jill Valentine
Dante
A Monster Hunter
Phoenix Wright

Heihachi
Lloyd Irving
Chosen Undead (although I don’t exactly know if they’re a Namco character. Pretty sure it’s Fromsoft)

Doom Slayer (I’ve come around on this one and now am totally down!)

Ryu Hayabusa (pretty sure Koei Tecmo said they haven’t been in touch about Smash, so I don’t expect it)

For now, those are the ones I’m keeping tabs on. I don’t really know that SNK will be getting in on the Smash pie, but I could be wrong.

My honest wants though? Leon/Jill/Chris + Lloyd Irving or Doom Slayer.

Would be 10/10 for me. (Though I might actually be hyped for Geno. Always did like the character but I don’t expect him)

I’m honestly not sure if I’d be excited about it anymore unless Genndy returns to direct that project.
