Yeah, I can definitely see that. Personally I actually think Raphael has less to go off of, which is kinda disappointing, honestly.

Like with Bernie her likes and dislikes rundown at least gives her some hidden depths with her hobbies. She's an avid reader and artist who likes to write and illustrate her own stories, she loves music and nature (especially weird creatures), and she knits and seemingly collects stuffed animals. Yeah they're all fairly standard introverted hobbies, but there's at least a fair bit to go off of there in terms of supports.

Meanwhile Raph's all relate to eating and training, outside of his love for his baby sister. Outside of the token "reveal how monsters killed his parents" support, there isn't much to go off of that doesn't rehash what Kris or Hana did...and they're already among the least interesting characters in the franchise.

It also doesn't help that Bernadetta has one of the most useful personal skills in the game while Raphael has one of the worst.

And it sucks because I WANT to love Raphael, but he's so seemingly one-note that it almost hurts. I'm hoping he at least gets entertaining dialogue with Ignatz.

I feel like Raphael's personal skill could make him into a pretty good tank with a good enough luck stat. Bernadetta definitely has a really good skill though, especially combined with her crest. I wish her proficiencies allowed her to be anything other than a bow knight though.

True. It does seem like our units will have a lot of health in this game though, I think there was some fairly early game footage where Dmitri had 59 HP or something, so 10% might be a bit more significant. We'll have to see when the game comes out though.

Mario Kart Roster?

Well, I would make sure every Smash character is in there, as well as the Bosses(Master Hand, Crazy Hand, Giant DK, Metal Mario, Giga Bowser, etc.), as well as include some other transformations like Super Sonic and Wario Man. I feel they all at this point deserve their spot. Not just because they're in Smash, but they're all awesome options and none should be ignored. Beyond that, Dixie Kong too.

Hard to say on what base should be, but I got a bit of an idea;



Then the various Bosses, other Alts not shown here, and all the Unlockable characters in general from the Smash games not listed here. And Dixie Kong.

The DLC otherwise is going to be the 3rd Parties overall. Others I think would make excellent DLC, due to selling well and gathering attention is Isabelle, Ridley, King K. Rool, and Piranha Plant. Maybe Metal Mario could fit well in here too. Any other DLC characters we still have to come would fit here in this case(if 1st party, maybe the Unlockable roster. It really really depends who). Other thoughts are Isaac, Bandanna Waddle Dee, Shadow, Tingle, Impa, Midna, and many other really popular AT's/Spirits who aren't playable. Dixie is the main exception cause she was at one point intended to be in Smash, where most others aren't even confirmed for that much alone. If I were to push it, maybe a surprise appearance by James Bond and other characters considered who never made it in. But ehhhhhhhh, Dixie feels like enough. The roster is already huge for a racing game anyway.

I'm unsure the best way to do Pokemon Trainer here. Just the Trainer, or each one separately as well.

Personally I want Mario Kart to stay separate from a potential Smash Kart or at least have one last solo Mario Kart before making that jump. At the very least I wanna see Mario Kart have a better selection of characters from their series before the crossover aspect gets hyped up.

There are rumours about Beenox working on Nitro Fueled DLC involving a Nitro Kart Adventure Mode.

But I don’t know how reliable these rumours are.
