Next movie will be Crawl which I'll see next week but that's only if the dog lives.
I’ve never understood why people get that attached to fictional dogs... like, so many people die in movies and people don’t even look up from their phones, but a dog gets it and I’ve seen people legit cry.

It’s going to be Toads or Goombas. I’ve been thinking this from the start. Mark my words.
Who’s to say it won’t be both?

Whenever they’re in the mushroom kingdom, Toads are the minions. Whenever they’re in Bowser’s Kingdom, Goombas are the minions.

Double the minions.

From a user on SpaceBattles. Pretty much sums it up.

Animals and babies I suppose are seen as too clueless to know the danger their in and more "innocent". In a lot of horror the big bad or curse or whatever will often target adults who you could argue maybe brought some of the attack on themselves (trespassing, being bad people, being stupid) but an animal wouldn't know any better.
Plus the innocence is dogs and how loyal they are who wants nothing more but to cuddle with you in your lap. It makes it really hard to stomach in movies where they die.

I liked it as a kid but after seeing it again...Yeah, it's a pretty dang messy film, putting it gently. I get the feeling even Illumination themselves aren't pleased with that one.

At least the CGI animals are actually okay to look at.

The Secret Life of Pets could've been great, imo, but it felt unfocused, had poor storytelling and was ultimately just unsatisfying. And I didn't really think the plot even lived up to the whole "what are your pets doing while you're gone" thing that the film was heavily advertised as being. And as for Sing..., it was fun, I'll admit, but rather mediocre. I'm really not sure what they were trying to do with Sing, honestly. The company does need to step up their game, but they don't deserve as much hate as I've seen them get, imo.

I have no idea what to expect from the Mario movie. I hope they manage to do something satisfactory with it, at least.
I honestly can’t respect a studio whose business practices involve making animated films as cheaply as possible. I hate their lack of artistic integrity and how much profit they’ve made off of it. I won’t judge until I see a trailer but I still wish Nintendo went with a different animation studio. I’ll give them credit If the Mario movie turns out to be good though.

I mean, I get that a dog dying is a sad idea. I just don’t understand not watching a movie over it :)

People getting overly upset about animals in movies is actually a pet peeve of mine  I think it stems back to school when a girl cried and made a big deal about a dog dying in a movie and then like a month later said Schindler’s List was boring and pointless.

While this conversation is currently brought up, I still don't get why they went to Illumination before Dreamworks cause Dreamworks makes really good movies and some high quality stuff. They're also bought by Universal and it would make sense to partner with the people who own the theme park their going to make Nintendo Land (I forgot the official name to the park) at!

Sure maybe Illumination is cheaper to partner with and Maybe they're both owned by Universal but Illumination has a really Mediocre to poor track record while Dreamworks mostly has a good track record. I don't get it but you do you Nintendo, You do you.

Guess I'm like that girl. I'm valuably and weakly emotional when it comes to dogs given the dog lover I am. I'm also more of an animal person then a people person so there's probably also that.

Some people have bad experiences with them.

I lost my cat a few years ago and now I avoid any media that features cats getting hurt (which thankfully isn't much). I'm simply not strong enough for it.

I myself just don't have the emotional capability to sit through movies about dogs whether they turn out okay in the end or not. That's why I can't bear to watch Max, Marley & Me and A Dog's Way Home.

Its also just a bad experience losing a pet you've had for so long. I still miss my previous dog Phoebe who died back 2012.

Dogs and cats. They're not pets.

They're family. Simple as that.

My condolences to both of you. We lost our family dog of 15 years this summer.

I don’t mean to be insensitive, I guess I’m just more of a people person than an animal person. Actually that’s probably not true either. I’m a “small circle of friends” person

On another note. My dad revealed a surprise to me today.

My brother and sister-in-law are actually in town having came in to attend my brother-in-laws (My sister-in-laws brother) wedding and are coming down to the house tomorrow morning to visit before leaving.

Then they'll be coming back in August for the whole month.

When dad also told me about this surprise I jumped to the conclusion my sister-in-law was pregnant because I desperately want to be an uncle.

**** mcdonalds is trash and like the only place open
The only thing I like there now is their shakes and ice cream. Nothing more. I'll go to Dairy Queen or Arby's if I want to get some fast food.

But if there's any I love most its SubWay.

Talk as much **** about Belle as you want, I know I do.

But this girl is making a profit selling tap water to thirsty dudes. I wish I could hustle like her.

So that Mulan trailer is suppose to come out tomorrow.

Can't wait to see how much they butchered yet again one of their animated classics.

Its already bad from the fact Mushu is removed...-_-

First Timothy, then him. Who is next? Jiminey Cricket.

Watch that they do with because they want Pinocchio to be independent and prove himself as a real boy on his own.

This is exactly why I hate these live-action Disney remakes.

Ever since the death of my childhood pet, seeing a dog die in a movie makes me feel sick to the stomach. It just hits me too close to home.

I saw Marley and Me at a public movie a few years after her death and I don't think I've ever cried that hard at a movie before. Heck I don't think any other movie has made me cry period.

E-girls in general say a lot about society

And yet we continue to live in one
gamers would rather buy $30 water instead of $4 shampoo

we need to look at ourselves

Since I'm currently hyped for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3..I just have to say, considering we can pretty much know for near certainty that there will be alternate costumes, I'll be very disappointed if this one isn't Spider-Gwen's/Ghost-Spider's..her version of 'Gwenom'/Venom..which is still her just with the Venom Symbiote.

That movie. I Am Legend. Old Yeller.

Never gonna watch for those reasons. I don't have the emotional capability.

I'm kind of desensitized to pet deaths in media. Obviously I have my instinctive, immediate gut reaction of "oh no!" But then it passes. I tend to find animal deaths really manipulative; it's an easy way to get unearned emotion out of the audience. I kind of have this problem with Jurassic Bark.

I've been through 10 or so pet deaths, though, cats and dogs both, so... yeah.
