Hey I'm back y'all.

All I can say I liked Far From Home. Better then Homecoming and in all honestly even Endgame for that matter.

Okay. Which of these two completely impossible scenarios do you think is more likely? Or would you rather one over the other

The Pokémon Company buying all of the rights to the franchise from Nintendo, separating from Nintendo, and going Multi-Plat?

Or

Nintendo completely buying the Pokémon Conpany and asserting more executive control?
Both are completely unlikely and would only hurt both parties.

Nintendo would never sell their share of Pokémon to anyone, even the Pokémon Company. Pokémon is such a system seller for them that no amount of money Pokémon Co would pay for the rights would equal the value of having Pokémon as a platform exclusive.

Nintendo would never buy the Pokémon Company (not that they could even afford it) because they wouldn’t know what to do with it. The whole reason the Pokémon Co was established was to manage the brand outside of the core video games Nintendo did with Game Freak. They were created to manage the IP in all fields of media like the anime, TCG, and the countless amount of merch. Nintendo would have no clue how to do that, which is why they formed the Pokémon Company in the first place.

I hate the time trials in CTR. I just want to unlock N. Tropy and go back to actually having fun.

I salute you if you can keep up the speed in that game and do the trials easily. Because I barely can and just when I get the hang of it and win, I have to move on to another track with even more bs to learn.

Granted, I’m over halfway done so I know i’ll Get it eventually. But especially when the track has no shortcut, it’s just too difficult to be enjoyable.

That mid-credit though man...Oh my god its so mean-spirited. Hasn't Peter gone through enough **** already...
I’m hyped for the next one, especially given the high chance of it being a Spider-Man vs The Sinister Six Story.

In Homecoming we got Vulture, with smaller roles of Scorpion, Shocker, and Aaron Davis.

In Far Frome Home we got a dude named Dimitri.

Vulture, Scorpion, Shocker, Prowler, and Chameleon make 5. Top it off with either Doc Ock or Gobby as the leader and you got a solid Sinister Six team right there.

I’d prefer Doc Ock, both because I’ve been itching to see him in the MCU, and I think Norman Osborne has enough potential to be a full blown Avengers-level threat.
There’s been word about the MCU branching off into “Grounded” and “Cosmic” arcs instead of just one big arc like we had with Thanos, to make more sense of the vast power differences between earth-bound characters like Black Panther and Spider-Man, and more powerful space-faring characters like Thor and Captain Marvel. I think Norman Osborne would make a great running threat for the grounded movies.

Splatoon would've been way worse off using Mario characters instead of an original concept.

It's one of the only good decisions made in the era of the Wii U.
Hey, they were testing the game with Yoshis due to the color scheme. They didn't even start off with them, it was rabbits.

I'd have been glad for a Yoshi game like that. I'd be like a duel IP similar to Wario Land and WarioWare :yoshi:

I disagree about Norman Osborn having enough potential to be an Avengers-level threat..as a character, he's not that powerful, its not to hard for Spider-Man to defeat the Green Goblin without assistance..Osborn having power and money can make him a threat to that level, but its never on his own, its when he's Iron Patriot (which we've already had as Rhodey in the MCU), creating the Dark Avengers, becoming head of SHIELD, or becoming President of the United States (all of which I feel needs him to be introduced prior as a character)

Damn, I'm also realizing just how soon both Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 and Fire Emblem Three Houses release and how I'm completely uncertain of my thoughts on both of them. As a collector, I have picked up all the previously released in the US FE titles except for Fates, but only seriously played through the original on the GBA (Though that has been ages). I love the concept of the series and loved what I played of the first, but they've all ended up in my backlog and now I'm just kind of sitting around with 5 full length Fire Emblem games to play through and I'd almost feel super guilty about just diving into the new one and ignoring all the ones I own. My high school math teacher always told me to play them in the order of release, but I'm just so uncertain about how to reapproach the series these days. Any suggestions on that front? Three Houses looks really solid though and in depth with a nice hint of Persona influence too (though graphically it leaves something to be desired in some weird ways despite great stylistic choices in others).

And then MUA3 was a game I initially wrote off completely when revealed. I had no love for the original and wasn't impressed by the game's initial showing. But all the stuff regarding the roster and the new gameplay videos showing how well this game has shaped up has really pushed this game as a dark horse candidate of 2019. It looks surprisingly solid as well, if perhaps a bit simple.

They both really catch my attention though at this point, but I have no clue about the likelihood of me buying either...

i try to go one movie without spoilers at all and you guys just imply so many things that scream the obvious
I didn't know you were inteding to see the movie until you said so just now. Also, that was a joke, not an actual spoiler. I'll try to be more spoiler conciouncous in the future, but a head's up would be nice next time. Just saying.
The other one being Xenoblade Chronicles X.
And Hyrule Warriors.

Super Mario 3D World definitely deserves a spot as one of the better decisions of the Wii U era. It may not have been exactly what fans were expecting, but it's genuinely one of the best Mario games with a great amount of variety and content. I'm super surprised we haven't seen a port of it (or Xenoblade Chronicles X) for Switch yet.

While it wasn't super profitable for them, I think the decision to back Bayonetta 2 was also a really great Wii U era Nintendo decision.

Ultimate Alliance 3 is for sure on my "To-Buy-And-Play-The-Crap-Out-Of" List this year. For the longest time, I thought it was never going to happen, but now the third chapter I've wanted to see for nearly 10 years now is real. I'm not what you would call a Marvel finatic-I like some of the characters, old-school comics, and movies they've put out, but Ultimate Alliance 1 was a hugh part of my childhood that I played for hours.

It also helps that UA3 looks really good. Team Ninja so far has done a solid job of carrying the tourch from I've seen so far. Gameplay looks smooth, the RPG elements look suprisingly in depth, and the roster of heroes they chose this time around is honestly really solid, save for like 3 characters. So, yeah I'm pumped as hell for Utlimate Alliance 3. Only rougly two weeks left!

Speaking of movies, I finally saw the first Despicable Me with my dad. Really good movie. I loved the characters, and definitely enjoyed the Minions. Silly, yet works.

Illumination gets a bad rap for a lot of reasons, but I'll always defend Despicable Me.
The original Despicable Me was a good movie, but I don't think Illumination has found anything else that stuck. Because of that, they keep going back to Despicable Me and everyone is starting to show signs of fatigue. What they really need is a new creative idea for a movie that hasn't been done before, because a franchise about pets who go on adventures and animals who sing isn't really pushing boundaries.

On a similar note, I'm cautiously optimistic about the Mario movie after Detective Pikachu. Different studios, I know, but at least we have proof that there's enough interest in film adaptations of video games for them to find some success.

Finished Stranger Things Season 3, it was pretty good season in my opinion.

In the mid-credits, an old threat returns from Season 1; The Demogorgon.

it's the sonic movie before the sonic movie
I liked it as a kid but after seeing it again...Yeah, it's a pretty dang messy film, putting it gently. I get the feeling even Illumination themselves aren't pleased with that one.

At least the CGI animals are actually okay to look at.

The Secret Life of Pets could've been great, imo, but it felt unfocused, had poor storytelling and was ultimately just unsatisfying. And I didn't really think the plot even lived up to the whole "what are your pets doing while you're gone" thing that the film was heavily advertised as being. And as for Sing..., it was fun, I'll admit, but rather mediocre. I'm really not sure what they were trying to do with Sing, honestly. The company does need to step up their game, but they don't deserve as much hate as I've seen them get, imo.

I have no idea what to expect from the Mario movie. I hope they manage to do something satisfactory with it, at least.
